Looks like you guys are going to go big this summer whomever you get......

Wonder if the money jibes will be aimed at you as well (seem never to be aimed at Chelsea despite what they have spend on their squad! - and hugely failed!!).....the AFTV boys are OBSESSED with it and to be honest its a bit embarrassing for your club the way they are so bitter about it....especially when all clubs spend plenty of money

Think you will need a left back to replace Zinchenko.....we all loved the guy but Pep saw the floor with playing this type of player at fullback.....great in the build up, loads of heart and good going forward BUT cant defend. (Same with Cancello. - who was also poison in the dressing room - the complete opposite to Zinny)...Pep took three centre halves (Ake, Akanji and Stones) and turned them into world class fullbacks and one of them also into a world class DM (Stones) - because the one thing that all centre halves can do is defend one on one and on both feet -

We also added goals in Alvarez and Haaland and as much as we also all loved Jesus his one floor is that in front of goal he is 50-50 - but as Pep said, there are few better in the build up and pressurising (though Alvarez is very very good at this as well and a much better finisher than Jesus and obviously Haaland is Haaland!)

Who else do you think you will get?

Im not too bothered about Rice ...he is not as good as what we have (except Phillips)...certainly not even close to the level of Rodri, Bernardo or Gundogan...and if like you say he cant see past not living in London he is NOT the player Pep or the club will want.....one thing we are very good at is getting the right "characters" in the dressing room (Cancello is really our only mistake in this sense)

London is shit anyway apart from parts of the West End, far too noisy and busy. Much better living in east Cheshire with a nice big garden and a house with a cinema room and gym.

This "they all want to live in London" narrative is a myth. I have lived there three times with work. In those days (late 70s and 80s) I thought Manchester had a better music scene and nightlife for starters. These days I think London is in decline as a major city. Both City and United have never had problems attracting the biggest stars.

Come and if Rice comes or not doesn’t change our trajectory.

Maybe they’re desperate for so kind of rivalry and to make themselves relevant. Personally I think the threat next year will come from Liverpool not Arsenal.

A one season rivalry that, easy to say now, I enjoyed. The specter of losing a title battle to Liverpool or United weighs much heavier. Midway through the season we all doffed our collective caps to Arsenal’s near perfect form. The fact he can survive on here shows we are mainly a decent tolerant bunch

i lived there 2006-2011 and its an absolute shithole populated with feral children kicking off 24/7. Even in ‘nice’ areas you are a stones throw from wandering into an estate where you could get stabbed for fuck all.

saw the aftermath of a tramp being kicked to death by schoolkids in an alleyway off the Holloway Rd and had been on numerous late night buses where it had all gone off.

the centre is a hellhole where you can barely pop to tesco on lunch without having to wade through masses of people and commuting involves literally squashing yourself up against some other yuppie hipster **** (beside the one you’ve turned into yourself) to not speak a word and hope you can save up enough money to buy a small home 30 miles from where you work.

i had to go back a few weeks ago for the first time in 10 years and all the horrors came flooding back. if anything its worse.
