Hope we get him and stick him on the bench just to really piss everyone off.
I mean City rarely go above a certain point and pay over the odds. Arsenal could get greedy here but hard to see when theyve spent 120+ on Havertz and Timber.I don't think we get in this race to lose.
We're getting our man.
Agree Fuzzy.I don’t feel we are bidding against Arsenal, we just need an acceptable bid for West Ham.
They love Rice and he leaves on great terms and I believe they will let him go where he wants to.
Something has happened today, either Rice has indicated we our first choice or Phillips has indicated he will be willing to move.
Arsenal will go back with a bid but doubt that it will alter things too much, I don’t think West Ham will price him out of a move for either team.
Thank Christ for that! This is my confirmation, he will become a City player.
Oh wait, I missed that one, he said Pep’s spoken directly to him?Tolmie said pep talked to Rice and 2 days later bid in! Tells me the lad happy come to us..
Also just think City have given themselves decent room for manoeuvre with this bid too, Arsenal will come in with a 3rd bid, (and I imagine final?) City can reply with a bid matching that offer, but better structured and more achievable add onsFor all we know City (as usual) have their own valuation and like the Grealish transfer opportunities like this don`t come along every window.
IMO perhaps the £100M plus add ons could be a realistic figure by Txiki and the boys. ;)
He wants him more than a lot of Blue Mooners.I'm guessing Pep really wants Declan Rice.
He wants the double Dm otherwise this does not happen. John will drop back and play Rb or dm if needed. Total domination to be continued…Still struggling to believe this one will happen just because we have Rodri, but for us to have properly bid at all is a big deal. We know the way the club execs operate is to check with the player's camp first.
Yep I think so far we`ve played a blinder. Also just think City have given themselves decent room for manoeuvre with this bid too, Arsenal will come in with a 3rd bid, (and I imagine final?) City can reply with a bid matching that offer, but better structured and more achievable add ons
Not many players say no to Pep.Tolmie said pep talked to Rice and 2 days later bid in! Tells me the lad happy come to us..
He wanted Kalvin Phillips too and that didn't turn out well to be honest. The upside is just the for the piss boiling from Arsenal (unless they find the cash to match us).He wants him more than a lot of Blue Mooners.
Thankfully I`m not in that queue.
Get him signed Txiki lad.
Yes he did, TH posted that gem within the last few days...soz can't recall exactly when though.Oh wait, I missed that one, he said Pep’s spoken directly to him?
