Declan Rice

Sure there's more than enough of a sample size there to give you a good indication... Also, look at him with England even when they're dominating inferior competition. I can't recall him ever getting involved in the final third looking likely to score or assist. I'm aware that's not what Waistcoast is asking of him but when you're living in the opposition's final third, you'd expect an opportunity to arise sooner or later that he would take advantage of.

Though I think some are misunderstanding me. I'd love Rice here but I just think it's such an odd potential replacement for Gundogan of all players who was so dangerous in/around the box.
All I will say is Moyes and Southgate

Foden comes more central.

I don’t think Pep does like for like. Players move on and he changes the playing system all over the pitch. The man is a fucking genius

Get it done City!

I know some don't rate him but I really don't know why. I think his ceiling is high and I suspect Pep use him as a 6 and an 8 and develop him massively in the next few years. 24 aswell, so the perfect age for us.

Kovacic, Rice and Gvardiol would be an unreal summer for us depending on putgoings obviously.

There are alternate points of view. Rice could go to Arsenal and instantly be part of the spine along with Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Saliba (all of which are under 24). Rice could come to Arsenal and instantly be part of the core as a place will be made for him in his preferred position. We are investing beyond Rice and keeping our players. Arteta is a young manager in the infancy of his Arsenal tenure and is likely to stay for a long time. If Rice joined Man City and signed a 5 year deal, who will be his manager in years 3-4-5? Pep is winding down at City and has likely signed his last contract. There is also a cloud that looms over Man City that could become a storm. Plus there is the London factor and home comfort.

Not every road points to Man City.
Who told you Pep's winding down?

12 days ago he said in a press conference that winning the CL wasn't the endgame, it was the beginning of City trying to replicate the success that Real have had in Europe.

He said he doesn't want City to become a club who fade away after winning the CL. He said he wanted City to be competing in the semis & finals for seasons to come & our Chairman reiterated the same on Monday.

So again, can you show me where Guardiola's said he's winding down with the intention of leaving anytime soon?

Before you point to his two year extension, this is how Pep has operated since his original three year deal. He says it keeps him, the club & the players on their toes, which is just how he likes it...

Gundo only became dangerous in and around the box since coming to city. He scored 15 goals in 5 years at Dortmund.
