This is the hope... Although splashing big money on Rice and Gvaridol makes me think we're not signing a winger and Phil will still be getting paint on his boots as he's forced to hold the touchline. I hope I'm wrong about that. As I said in his player thread, it's now or never for him to get central. Certainly under Pep's tenure.Foden comes more central.
Same here, never really seen him do anything that stands out from the rest, everytime I've watched West ham paqueta has been far superior and he's much more in the gundo ilk. Although saying that under pep I can't remember us replacing a departed player with a like for like alternativeI don't get the hype with this fella.
I am genuinely bemused by people who think he could replace Gundo or Bernie.
I'm happy to be proved wrong. Our management team know a whole lot more than us lot on here, and if they think Rice fits into the clubs future plans then I'm sure we'll do our best to get the deal done. If it turns into a ridiculous bidding war like Kane a few seasons back we'll pull the plug when the price goes above our valuation of the player. City are pretty ruthless in that sense. He's not a like for like replacement, just like Grealish wasn't a like for like replacement for Sane or Sterling. But he's quality.
I was suggesting they might impose a style on the **** he can't ignore, despite his dullardness.then waistcoat gets a grip of them
