But what if we planned this together with West Ham just to get Arsenal paying the highest possible price and then we get Paqueta for 30 mil, that would be something! :) Moyes doesn't have clue whagt to do with him anyway.

After watching the end of season run in and the way that Rodri and Stones played I would say that he will share responsibilities with those two for running the midfield. I thought that neither played as a conventional 6 and they dovetailed perfectly getting forward or sitting back when necessary.
It's never just a straight forward starting 11 anymore. Rodri has been overplayed over the last two seasons and I thought he was running on empty in the two cup finals. Stones covered for him in the second half of the FA Cup final but he finally ran out out gas in Istanbul.
Knowing Pep he's probably already working on Rice's new role. Probably as fly keeper with Ederson getting forward more often.
Rice would not be an understudy to any of Rodri or Stones or other player. He's too hyped and too expensive for that. The system will have to change quite drastically with him in the team. In Pep we trust.

Will pep give him any more time, I doubt it he may have not played much. Pep sees him most days and the reason he hasn't played is because he can't hack what's required of him
Way, way too nasty bro...

It’s a guess same as any of us can guess, my guess is he play a lot mor nest year, if Pep sees no future for him he wouldn’t be shy in telling him. From what Phillips has been saying I think he’s being encouraged by what he’s being told.

Oh, and for what it's worth, I agree with you, for you guys I'd prefer Szoboszlai, I'd prefer him to Havertz for us. But who would our Rice alternatives be? Caceido who would just be as expensive and who Chelsea want. Lavia? Onana? It's slim pickings otherwise.
Here are 3 very good ones:

Aleix Garcia, Enzo Le Fee, and Martin Zubimendi
