He came in with a chronic shoulder injury, had surgery, went to Qatar and sat, lost fitness and then came back to a team of the highest tactical order who were facing a hard climb to reel in Arsenal and eventually pursuing its first ECL title, not to mention winning a treble. I'm not making excuses for him, just saying what actually happened. Is there something I'm saying that's not accurate? Given all that, I believe he still gets a chance to prove himself one way or the other. Anyone can say whatever they think, but I just think ripping the guy and already writing him off is a bit premature and going overboard. JMO
