The only reason is that he is in the Declan Rice thread is that his first name is an anagram of Rice.
Having said that his surname is an anagram of ride.

His middle initial is M, which with Eric is an anagram of crime

i think you are a decent poster, but i disagree with you here, Dier is slow (we have more than enough of these!), not a CH & struggles as a midfielder and is 5 years older than Rice.
Rice is far more composed on the ball, breaks forward well and defends very well! I think he would be an ideal replacement for Ferdi, albeit not in the same class right now, he's only 21 and will certainly flourish under Peps tutelage....

Rice isn't any quicker and there lies the problem. Dier is a regular in a top 6 side as well. Age is the only factor for Rice but that means nothing

I usually agree with much of what Ray posts but I don’t see Dier as a better player than Rice.

I’m not a huge Rodri fan but I’d still have him over Dier and Rice.

I agree,struggled to see what the fuss was about.

He's the real deal though,becoming a midfield general.

Zabba has also apparently endorsed the fact we should be interested,as Dinho's replacement.I reckon he might be qualified to comment......;-)
