So what would you do now if you were Arsenal?! Do you bid again and drive the price up, but end up paying that in your next pursuit? Do you walk away and pretend you couldn't compete with City* 115?

Very tricky. Our board will be sat with their popcorn, ready and waiting. No bid and we'll improve slightly knowing they've admitted publicly Rice is leaving, that they need the money this summer and that there's no rival bidder. If they do, then we see if West Ham accept it then match it and leak to the world how high they've gone so they have to overpay on their next target.
