I'm struggling to understand why Rice wouldn't want to join us? Does he want to win the Premier League? Does he want to play regularly in the Champs League and compete to win it? Does he want to work with one of the best coaches the sport has ever seen? Does he want to develop his game to become a more complete player and maximise his potential? Does he want to play alongside some of the best players in world football? What else is he looking for in a new club?

The big question is ‘does he believe he could get in this side, regularly?’

He’s an expense we don’t need to entertain and he certainly doesn’t elevate our midfield, imo

It doesn't matter what the likes of fans think. If another club wants him, they'll have to pay West Ham £150m. As such, he is worth it.

To you both, Spurs wanted 150m for Kane, he is still a Spurts player because he wasn't worth 150m.

The same applies to Rice, you can set any fee you want but if nobody comes and pays that fee the player was not worth the fee you set.

Of course, setting a ludicrously high fee to scare everybody from bidding will only leave Rice pissed off.

Again, for a guy with little skill, a cross between a DM and possible CB if you like, he isn't worth 150m, considering the price of all the previous transfers in football.

150m would make him the second most expensive footballer on the planet lol
