Bang on. We will bring someone in who's better than Rice for half the price.Happy that, once again, we are not overpaying for players.

Really! That's some serious over-hyping or Rice mate!Arsenal no excuse now that have to win the title
that's a fair point-but the club have always insisted on a valuation for a player and, as far as we know, stick to it.Making a bid that you know will be rejected while competing against a club that have identified him as their number 1 target, is pointless. Our bid was only going to make Arsenal bid more - because it wasn't really that different. More than happy for the club not to move from their valuations and walk away - don't see the point in bidding when it's not going to be accepted.
Wasn't Akanji kind of his alternative? Bringing in an extra centre back in the knowledge that Aké could instead play on the leftThere probably isn't one, like with Cucurella before. They may just have had Bellingham and Rice on the list.
And imagine next season that whoever we sign outperforms Rice at Arsenal.Excited to see who we go for now. Delighted we pushed the Arse to waste an extra £20m.
I just think a Club who's won the treble, smashed Madrid and Bayern and are the Kings of Europe should be aiming for the World's Best, not Declan Rice.
Declan Rice isn't getting in this team, just like Kalvin Phillips. If we are spending 100m plus on a player it has to be someone who's going to walk in this side and play nearly every game like Haaland. Don't see the point spending 100m on a player who's more likely going to be a rotational player.
