Dedryk Boyata

Looks like a good player, would have him in my squad.

Remember him playing against Chelsea a few seasons ago and having a great game.
1-0, he played at right-back and for me, was outstanding.

He is at the stage where he needs to be playing regular first team football. Prehaps a loan abroad because there will be no other Premier League club that can guarantee a first team place.

As good as Onuoha, what's wrong with that? With Vinny and Lescott starting, Kolo as backup, what's wrong with someone of Boyata's quality being another backup? With Richards as cover, I'm lost as to why we need to look elsewhere - its not like we're going to bring in another international just to be a backup. Savic needs to be loaned out and play regularly this season. Boyata Should stay, get the odd game, and learn from the 3 in front of him.

Spot on, well said.
No, every player at City should now be at worst world class, and should be worth at least £20m, even in the U17's.

It's laughable people think Boyata is better than Savic!

Boyata simply not good enough! This season I'd loan Savic to a PL club where he will get regular playing time which will only help him in the long run

Interested to know what has impressed you about the disaster that is Savic. Of our current squad only RSC is worse in my opinion.

boyata is blue through and through, an academy graduate, and many are paying no respect to this achievement.

he is only young, i would have him as back up for a year or two; if he then feels he wants regular football he can then move on, with many years of his career ahead of him

Would have helped if he was given a consistent run in his proper position, centre-back, at Bolton instead of just games here and there. Bolton conceded 77 goals with combinations of Gary Cahill/Zat Knight/David Wheater at the back for most of the season. I think Coyle finally gave Boyata a run of games in the middle at the end of the season but not enough.

There's no denying that Savic made some huge howlers that had the potential to prove very costly. Go back and read the threads about him after his first few games. People were wanking about how he would be Lescotts replacement and a long term partner for Vinny.

Last year was his first year in the prem and after making some high profile errors, his confidence took a massive blow. He's still young and I think he could develop into a good player.

There's no denying Dedryk has the ability to play a vital role in our squad. I don't buy into this rubbish of people saying he isn't good enough based on his relatively unsuccessful loan spell at Bolton. Let's not forget he was being managed by the numpty that is Owen Coyle who somehow managed to relegate Bolton whilst having a squad capable of surviving relegation and then some. You could put Lionel Messi in that man's team and he'd still manage to find a way to balls it up. We should be proud of our academy graduates, they're not going to world-class players from the word go. It takes time and under the guidance of Mancini and the rest of the squad they can only improve and the same goes for John Guidetti.

I can't believe someone posted Kolo Toure is wank!

The guy is still quality though he may need a few games to get back to match sharpness.
