DeJong/Tevez/Advisors

I'm sure Bobby will be pleased that Nige is pissed off at not being in the squad, it shows how much the player wants to be involved. Of course there is always the flip side, the gutter press trying to make something out of nothing. Richards was left out a couple of weeks ago i don't suppose he was very happy about it either.

I would hazard a guess that at the start of the season the terms of the rotation policy would have been explained to the whole squad, i would think that Bobby would have told anyone not happy about it that they would be free to look for another club. As people have already said, no quotes from Nige on the subject, to me it's utter BS.

What is NDJ on £80,000 a week? will anyone else pay that for a defensive midfielder with 1 goal in nearly 3 seasons?

He isn't there to score goals, he's there to stop them and he does a great job at it. Makelélé never really scored goals and if he was De Jong's age now, he'd be earning more than that.

Anyone else pleased to see Bobby handling the situation like this? If any other player wants to try and hold the club to ransom (not suggesting De Jong did btw) then step right up and lets see what happens. The reason Im pleased is not least to shove it down the throats of every single fucker (and there were TONS of them) who said that Mancini wouldnt be able to handle so many 'star' players together.

Bobby was quoted as saying (muen) about 3 or 4 weeks ago that he wanted a new contract sorting out for NDJ asap - not the words of someone who wants rid due to any involvement that NDJ has with Kia?

Wasnt suggesting he wanted rid...Im just saying that Bobby will make players tow the line when called upon to do so. Im sick and tired of people criticising Mancinis tactics/selections when theyre avoiding the elephant in the room ie. we have a free scoring side sitting on top of the league and smashing previous club records with impunity. That doesnt come about by having someone who doesnt know what theyre doing at the helm.

He isnt there to stop goals as such - thats the defence and keepers job, he is there to screen the defence, to stop other teams attacking midfielders playing and stopping teams on the break. Thing is though we havent really seen a team get at us for any length of time during a game this season. No doubt there will be games that this does happen and when it does its better that he is in the team. But there will be a lot of games where teams park the bus and he wont be needed in these games. We have a squad and an ability now to pick horses for course - he will have to accept that same as others who are in and out.

There's already so much been said about wether Nigel DeJong is/was being advised by a certain advisor, so its good to find out from Tolmie that in fact its Rodger Linse who represents him, so things look slightly different and hope Nigel will put pen to paper on a new deal?????........
