Dele Alli

In the games like Chelsea where we choked after KDB's miss, and when we bottled it against Spurs, having a Rooney in the team would not be a bad thing
Why? Because he would have slowed the game down at 1-0 by constantly hitting simple 5 yard passes hopelessly off target and out of play?

Ok. Whilst this is a city forum, you are allowed to think other players at teams we hate can kick a ball. His trophy haul speaks for itself, despite him being a prick.

His trophy haul was all won long ago and he hasn't played well in 6 years, he would under no circumstances be a worthwhile addition to our team.

Did I say Wayne Rooney of 2017 should be bought and put into our team? Clearly not. Not even close to resembling what I said

A poster referred to Alli as someone LIKE Rooney. Which is an excellent thing in terms of attitude and mentality. That is ALL I am saying
Nothing to do with the footballer Wayne Rooney, in particularly now.
I am saying we need more players with the attitude like him when he was at his best, which Alli resembles..

It's all well and good having that attitude playing for the rags, he wouldn't get away with it here.

We don't need Alli either, if we're going to get someone nasty we'll get them as a DM and (a) playing Alli there would be a waste of his talents (b) We could get a player far better suited to the position for a fraction of the price Spurs would be looking for.

You've missed every single point I have made and seem intent on just being focused on some media/ref agenda/Rooney and are obviously against signing Alli, which I respect

Hes 20 years old mate, he will be at the very very top in 5 years

Weigl is the guy I always wanted, no idea how much he would cost nowdays though and I imagine Bayern are sniffing around aswell.

So tell me then why we should spend the vast majority of our transfer budget and the entire window up until the last week or so trying to sign an attacking midfielder?

Silva has maybe another year at the top
We play in a system that requires 2 number 10's to a point and Alli has more in his locker than just being a static attacking midfielder
He has been absolutely superb from the age of 19-20 in the premier league and is on course to average 15 goals a season already
In a side managed by Pep, you can never have enough options in the middle/attacking third of the pitch

You need to bloody relax. Moaning and bitching at every comment I have made because I said he would be a really top signing. I don't doubt negotiations would be protracted and tough, but he seems to have the mentality and goalscoring knack we lack. No matter what you say about us having plenty, KDB and Silva do not score enough goals and our problem has been relying on Aguero /2nd striker for years due to a lack of midfield goals bar Yaya

He would be an incredible signing in my opinion, if you think not, thats your problem/right.
