DDR yes and a lack of first team opportunities would probably have been a problem for Hazard hence choosing Chelsea.

Who says he would be on the bench? Injuries, loss of form, rotation, Silva's apparent reluctance to sign a new deal. It's a long, long season with unexpected twists.

It's not exactly a case of flapping, more that a player that could add value to our squad at a no-brainer of a price is again slipping through the net.

When clubs are trying to take us to the cleaners on price, we pass up on a player who is prem proven and we know the fee required to get him.

This guy is quite capable of competing for a starting spot in our first choice 11 yet we are pissing about over a deal for Sinclair who will undoubtedly be a bench player.

Just doesn't make sense.
