We still need a left back who's more physical than Clichy for games at the likes of Stoke & Hull etc....

And maybe a youngster, with potential, like Jordan Rhodes, could come in as a, genuine, forth striker. (Jovetic being more
of a midfielder, imo)
We have Guidetti.
Agree with you 100% Sam. Unfortunatly I'm not too sure the powers that be do

I hope they do mate.

John looks like he is doing what he has to do to get in the team, he has proven he can score goals in a good league so it's up to us now to give him his opportunity to show us what he can do.

Pellegrini did try and sign him for Malaga so we will see, maybe we will see him in a few cup games first.

I personally think there are gaps in the squad still.

- I think we need another forward on the left hand side, either an out and out winger or a cutting in striker - I would love to see us get El Shaarawy.

- The drop in class from Yaya and Fernandinho to Rodwell and Garcia is quite significant in my opinion, if one of the first two mentioned get injured for a considerable amout of time we are done for if we are to rely on one of Rodwell or Garcia.

Rodwell will do a good job in the league against teams below the bottom 6, but I do worry about him in terms of experience against the big boys, especially in the Champions League.

Garcia is just poor for the level we want to be, Mancini's worst signing along with Sinclair.

- Left back could have been improved, or even just an additon to keep Clichy on his toes.

Disagree RE: Rodwell. The guy is pure talent. I think he can cut it with the big boys. Only problem is --> Injuries.....and if we rely on him he will probably get a knock or 2 and next in line is Garcia. I really don't want to see that pile of dog turd wear a City shirt ever again (and as i've said before) I think he's painfully bad. However are I think you're forgetting Milner here....I've never seen him have a bad game for City, so reliable and in the centre of midfield I think he's excellent. Tbh given how rocky Yaya and Fernandinho looked this weekend I'd be tempted to start him against Stoke in the centre to help cover our (so far) bobbins defence. Shit, miserable place like Stoke is a hard place to get 3 points at, my tactical change would be to put Jimmy in for this.

Regarding the thread title - do i think we're done? I really don't know, I want to see either a left back and or left winger come in....

Ideally
A left winger/forward (preferably left footed)
A defensive midfielder (assuming Barry goes)
A left back (shifting Kolarov out)
A left footed centre back (Lescott out)

Personally, I'd like to see something like Griezmann, Fellaini, Coentrao and Mangala/Agger.

Although I can only see 1 more coming in, at best.

Thanks Sam, I didn't know that Pellers had gone in for him at Malaga.

Lets hope that will eventually prove to be major factor in his favour.

Fully agree that the lad deserves a chance following the determination he's shown to overcome his recent troubles

yes i am sure 100%.
good summer for us.
huge cut in wages and better, useful players.
only balotelelli, kolo and tevez earned at least 500K a week.
next summer i hope we will do business like that again.
we can sell nasri, kolarov, lescott, dzeko, garcia, cut wages
and buy rekik (back from loan with huge experience), guidetti (back from loan), draxler, felllaini, coentrao
no problems with FFP :D

A left winger/forward (preferably left footed)
A defensive midfielder (assuming Barry goes)
A left back (shifting Kolarov out)
A left footed centre back (Lescott out)
wait for next summer bro and this will be done as i said ;)

Reading between the lines, I think city are going to shock the world tommorow.
