Demichelis

Perfect example of a player being left out to dry
He's put in some good football for us but should be playing for Plate right now
It's admirable to stand by your player
but he's past it and it's obvious
Pellegrini has been limited for choices due to injuries
But he's been stubborn imo with Navas Bony And MDM
Hopefully Nasri and KDB get back soon
I hate to pile on but it might be better if Pellegrini moves on now

That was such a ridiculously bad performance today you would be forgiven for thinking had took a bung.

He should hang his head in shame.

So too should the manager for allowing it to continue for as long as it did.

The defence hasn't been any good for 3 years but we scored our way out of trouble. MD makes a good scapegoat though.

exactly

should have been sold and upgraded upon seasons back

Vinny was clearly not going to go all season without injury and yet we spunked 50 million on a midfielder we did not need instead of sorting out the defence and getting in some support for Sergio

we are now reaping the 'rewards' of such a wasteful transfer policy and whoever is responsible upstairs should be axed

Was a stop gap signing to provide back up , he's still here three years later

Denayer could have had all the minutes he has had this season , not his fault but he's completely past it

There was talk about him going back to Argentina before the window shut, whoever decided against that needs sacking ...
Unfortunately another thread suggests that that isn't going to happen.

I blame the manager for ruining the legacy of a player who did fantastic to prove everyone wrong but was then badly let down by being hung out to dry way beyond his best before date. The player himself has only ever tried his best, and,as bad as he's been, and as frustrating as that has been to watch......i cant associate any blame to him for that.

This, agree 100%

I don't blame demichelis, I blame Pellegrini for picking a player quite clearly past his best and no longer good enough, no way should he have played in a match like that. As people have already said, he was hung out to dry.

All those calling him a **** etc get a grip ffs. What do you want him to do when his name is on the team sheet? Say "Sorry, i'm not playing today" imagine the uproar on here if that had happened! He was kept on to provide cover for low profile games, to come on shore up a win which he has done well this season and I imagine he's an asset on the training ground too. I can't imagine he thought he would start in a massive derby game.

The blame has to lie with Pellers for not realising he's not good enough to start in these games as well as for not managing Kompany effectively.
