Democrat US Presidential Nominations

He will because the Dems will misjudge the nation again and pick someone who will fuck it up bigly.

I see he's coming over to the UK in December. That'll be interesting depending on the political situation here.

I don't think that will happen unless the Democrats nominate Warren, or Schultz is serious about running (he'll withdraw).

But there are plenty of others who could screw it up; I just think Warren WOULD screw it up.

I think the desire to stick it to Trump may well lead to them picking the wrong opponent. They should go with a Candidate that has broad appeal and can not be tied down with the establishment attacks that really hurt Clinton.

Agreed.

She's one of the long list of people facing being sued for comments regarding the red Indian bloke and the smirking students.

I'd be quite thrilled if they got something out of Kathy Griffin, who they're also possibly suing (see my commentary on the most unfunny comedian on earth thread, and also the people you hate most thread when someone creates it). In fact, I'd just sue her. Suing NPR? Come on, now, why? Due to their deep pockets?

I think they all had until today to retract and apologise or face legal action. They'll lose the case too because the law isn't even the slightest bit ambiguous on this.

I hope you're right... er, correct... what was I thinking... dear God, please don't be Right!

But the nomination process isn't about picking the person who might best stand to win against an opponent from the other party - it's about picking the person most popular among those participating in the nomination process - registered voters from a particular party, enthusiastic and behind their candidate no matter how off-center his or her views.
