Denayer and Mangala

If Denayer was to leave it might be a case that he is actually attracting interest and is good value for potential buyers.

Compare this to Mangala who would command a bigger transfer fee and bigger wages without really proving to be an upgrade on Denayer.

Might come down to what players in our squad attract interest rather than who we don't want. All the negative publicity around Nasri has hardly done us any favours in terms of leverage in a transfer, teams know we are looking rid and that he isn't in top condition.

To sell Denayer will be unfortunate. He's CB/RB. Maybe Pep thinks of giving Maffeo a place in the team, and move Sagna as a back up CB. Hope Im wrong though, Sagna needs to be the first choice RB, sad to say but Zaba is past it.

I think that we can safely say they are both on borrowed time right now. Both need a move away asap now that they've both been Swienstogered by Pep.

Current CB's = Otamendi (injured?), Kompany (injured), Stones (just joined).

Surely we need to keep one (Denayer) as we've already seen Pep use 3 at the back in pre-season, having 3 CB's one who's extremely injury prone is leaving it pretty thin. Yes we have Tosin but he's not ready yet.

Starting to think Kolarov will genuinely be one of our CB's next season.
Denayer's been named in the CL squad hasn't he? He must be fuckin gutted to have got 0 minutes in pre-season only to see Tosin and Kolarov play the majority of games in those positions.

I hope we know what we're doing because aside from his brief appearance in the Euro's, Denayer has impressed me every time I've seen him.

How has Denayer been Swein-ed.

He never had a locker at City really, he had a tray with his name on a piece of paper, maybe laminated I don't know.

Believe so yes, hopefully he's just being eased into it similar to De Bruyne/Sagna given the Euro's, even if he didn't play much.

Not long until we find out at any rate.

With Kompany's injury record and Tosin looking a fair way off yet, Stones being new and inexperienced himself and Otamendi being inconsistent...is this a wise move to offload both?

In fact I don't think we'll listen to any offers for Denayer thinking about it.
