Denayer and Mangala

How has Denayer been Swein-ed.

He never had a locker at City really, he had a tray with his name on a piece of paper, maybe laminated I don't know.

I don't even think he had that probably arrived at the training ground already changed and told to shower at home.

Don't forget we also have Cameron Humphreys in the EDS. A step up from Tosin in my opinion.

Apparently Denayer was very good for Celtic but had some frustrating injuries at Galatasaray, the Belgium manager, Wilmots, said he was the "natural successor to Kompany". It seems strange Pep has not played him much in the friendlies, I hoped he might have a bright future with us
Neville Kneville ot Twosips might be able to shed more light?

I know you watch a lot of EDS football Nev, in your opinion which one of Denayer or Tosin has the best chance of their career progressing further in the long term? (Even if it ultimately, isn't with us)

I haven't watched as much recently as I became disillusioned with it due to Pellegrini's treatment of Denayer in particular, which I thought was disgusting & harmful to his career as well as a bad choice for the first team squad & bad for for the club. Since I learned he was being sacked I've been more upbeat. I've watched plenty of JD on tv & vid though.

But I did think that Tosin looked as good whenever I saw him live, for his age, as Denayer was at the same stage. Swings & roundabouts as Tosin was bigger wheras Denayer was miles better on the ball. Tosin is built like a PL cb though whereas JD isn't really.

Both have faults to iron out & stuff to learn but so does Stones. Either or both could become top players imo. If Denayer had been at City last season & brought through I think he would be a shoe in now. But he hasn't. He's been messing around in Turkey whilst Tosin has been training to play for City. He's 21 but in Premier League terms he's behind Tosin for example & even various no marks at the swamp because he's been nowhere near English football for 2 years. He might as well be a 17 year old for all the experience he has of our football.

I think that, if he goes, it will be because Tosin is ahead of him & he isn't happy about it but tbf that is on merit right now. But I doubt Pep or City want him to go. They probably want to do right by him due to the way he was let down last year & will reluctantly agree if he decides to leave rather than fight it out.

Surprised and disappointed that JD was not given a chance to play in Sunday yet AK was. Must mean that the writing is on the wall for him at City
