From earlier today: Denayer's agent told Sky Sports News HQ: "We have Man City's permission to find a club to take Jason on loan for a year. There are several clubs interested, and agreement will be reached soon."

I'd be surprised if he wasn't informed of the club's plans to being sent out on loan this season before he signed his new deal. I certainly Wish him all the best with a hope he comes back a better player and professional. Good luck.

Can't say that we weren't expecting this after Otamendi signed, but it sounds like he's going to be leaving permanently, not just on loan.

Disappointing - of the three promoted youths, Denayer was the one I thought most likely to get serious gametime.
