He has been trying to forget that day ever since.Poor soul.
I hope he never forgets the day he sent those red bastards down to the second division
Sadly it will give him the same. Awful thingI was lucky enough to meet Denis a few times over the 60s and 70s and he always had time for a chat or an autograph etc. A genuinely lovely man.
A true legend of British football, Denis was my first hero when I started watching City in 60/61. How could a nipper like me not be impressed by a young lad making all his teammates look like slow old timers!
As much as it may bother a few on here... I have to admit, hand on heart, that Denis Law will always be the King of football in Manchester as far as I'm concerned.
Denis is a battler, he'll give this horrible condition the fight of it's life.
He won't be allowed to! Colin was the first to congratulate him, and he'll no doubt have a wry smile when the two meet again. He has been trying to forget that day ever since.
My wife knows Denis and his wife as they are regulars at Wythenshawe Hospital. She has dealt with them on a regular basis over the years and can only speak highly of them and what a lovely couple they are. Although she`s not seen them since the advent of Covid she says that on their last meeting he unfortunately showed the signs, and had to escort him to meet his wife.Denis beat you to it, said he's announced his condition now because he wants to deal with it head on.

And here's the proof:He won't be allowed to! Colin was the first to congratulate him, and he'll no doubt have a wry smile when the two meet again.
I did laugh at the snippet on ITV news. They moved onto The Alzheimer's Society and Jeff Astle scoring a headed goal against, er, who else? They never miss a fuckin' chance.
