If we followed the new Serie A rule it'd give lads like Suarez a greater chance of getting some game time if we're cruising, etc.

Serie A teams will be allowed to have 12 players on the bench from this season, announced the FIGC.

I think this rule would be good for the Premier League as it'd allow clubs to name youths on the bench without dropping an established player to the stands. This can't really happen as it stands and if a team is winning 3-0 or something, a young kid could get 10-30 minutes of vital experience.

This - any games where we are cruising , points in the bag , he should be given 5, 10, 15 mins , whatever. Fantastic experience without the pressure where he would be allowed to express himself. Do not want another Roman job with this lad

Extremely clever, Premier League will have a major reforms.

Never mind big money signings..anyone reckon he will be given a shot at the first team this season?

From what I've seen..he looks ready..
How much have you seen, though? I've watched a small amount of him and been underwhelmed at his development from when he first came to us. He lookms like he's stood still.

I'm not particularly excited about him, Razak, Rekik or Huws to be honest.

Pozo and Lopes look better talents to me.

Re: Denis Suarez

Sorry if someone has posted this already but he may be going on a one year loan to Espanyol.

A very good move.

Re: Denis Suarez

He wrote an article for Marca today (in Spanish of course):

http://www.marca.com/2013/06/21/opinion ... 66092.html

Nothing amazing in it, just his excitement of playing in the U20 WC. Hopefully it will be a great experience for him and he can enjoy a good loan move next season. La Liga is the best option, these loans to League One and Championship sides are doing absolutely nothing for most of our kids.

Lol, i very rarely look at a poster's name or when things are posted, i should prob pay more attention to things!

The worrying thing about that though is that my statement still stands and it's 12months further down the line from the OP when it stood then.

-- Fri Jun 21, 2013 3:00 pm --

I agree with that. I wonder if Boyata hadn't spent five months on the bench at Bolton and had gone to La Liga to somewhere like Zaragoza, whether he'd gone backwards as a player.

Rekik has not had the right loan move for his development neither.

We need to change the way we run this side of things because it could be said that we are letting these lads down. It could also be said that if they were good enough they'd be getting into these sides and making impacts and developments - like Wilshire.

Exactly what I said yesterday to a friend of mine. Loaning young talents such as Suarez to league one sides are a waste of time in my opinion. I hope this one year loan move to Espanyol will be a success as it will aid his development and give me some very valuable experience.

Re: Denis Suarez

We have a partnership with Espanyol correct? Didnt we loan Weiss to them one year and Mohammed Abu once? They did not get much playing time...
