Re: Denis Suarez

hope he can get first team football somewhere next season if its not with us, based on what ppl were saying last season it was a waste of time for him to be playing EDS games

Re: Denis Suarez

Barcelona are in the process of making a move for one of Manchester City's most prized youngsters, according to Marca. Denis Suarez is largely considered by many fans of the Premier League club to be a star waiting to emerge and they would be gutted if he was suddenly snapped up and taken back to Spain. The claim is the lead online story of Marca today, who say that Barcelona want to offer Suarez a four year contract and see him as a player who can emerge for them over the next few years.

Suarez impressed for Spain at the U20 World Cup in Turkey and both Real Madrid and Barcelona have been working on bringing in young Spanish talents. Marca say that Barcelona have identified Suarez as a player who suits their style and will offer him a four year deal, the first season as a reserve player and three years as part of the first team squad.

It's quite some offer for the young Spaniard but there must be little chance Manchester City would entertain any idea of him moving. The Spanish newspaper claim Suarez only has one year left on his contract in England and therefore that gives hope to Barcelona as they look to take him away.

The 19 year old attacking midfielder joined Manchester City in 2011 from the Celta Vigo youth set-up, he's progressed well during that time and next season would probably be hoping to get a few first team appearances.

Whilst Manchester City should be able to hold on to the player, the interest of Barcelona could force his progression. Manchester United saw Paul Pogba leave the football club because he didn't think he was valued enough and Pellegrini won't want similar to happen with Suarez

Hmm, hopefully that's not true - but Barcelona are definitely looking to beef up their B squad; quite a few players left.

If Mancini was still the manager I think Denis Suarez would leave instantly if Barca were interested in him, but with Manuel Pellegrini, he might want to stay. I'm surprised that City are yet to offer him a contract extension.

Re: Denis Suarez

Hopefully Denis will give it at least a season under Pellegrini to see the direction we are heading and the opportunities youngsters will get.

If he lives up to his potential and expectation he will be a fine player and save us a fortune.

He certainly looked very content in the photo with his senior compatriots yesterday.

I agree and I think Denis need to be given chances in a strong starting line I.e. with first choice holding midfielders in the side who are fully fit - unlike the league cup game he got a run out in.

Re: Denis Suarez

Re: Denis Suarez

So they snatched Joan Roman, who's know scoring goals for their first team, and want to get Suarez as well?

A big fuck off."

Re: Denis Suarez

We need to keep Denis.
That said Denis needs to play regular top flight football next season - either in the Prem or for a promotion chasing Div 1 side or back in Spain for a La Leiga side.

A loan to the likes of Swansea, villa or Everton would be ideal and probably needed as he is very soon going to get restless IMO.i wouldn't expect him to yet be a starter for any of them but I reckon he'd get a decent amount of time from the bench.
