I agree with everything you’ve wrote. But I do think they’re over played. The nations league, extra champions league games, 39 game premier league season, meaningless international friendlies. I know the 39 game prem season never happened, but it was still a thought from the people running football.I mean that's an incredibly stupid attempt to link a tragic event to a political fight between players and unions.
Christian Eriksen hasn't been over played, he's barely got off the bench for Inter Milan. 1600 minutes all season.
It's not to do with being overplayed, it's (almost always) a congenital heart defect that's almost impossible to detect - Eriksen like ever other Premier League player would have had heart screenings every preseason since Fabrice Muamba collapsed in 2012.
