Yes but JoTS, people like The Feeling, Adele, Phil Collins etc obviusly do have talent - just because you don't like it doesnt mean it is less true.

i thought it was really good. well written and very thought provoking and some funny moments. i actually think gervais is a genious who has an amazing ability to come up with characters and story lines that never fail to make us empathise and was genuinally cut up after the old bird died, particularly derek's reaction to the death. i am a very sentimental person and think all his stuff takes advantage of my way of thinking.

however he clearly is a shit actor, and his potrayal of a mentally disabled young man was just awful. everything he has been in since the office i have thought (including the films), this is actually quite good but fuck me cast someone else as the main character and it would be far superior.

he definately has talent, but i think his ego is so huge that he can;t see the fact that he can't act well enought to play such a part.

Both really, i find the programme really interesting and heart warming in places, that particular vid, in his naivety, is pure comedy gold, maybe Gervais or 'Derek' could use that if the pilot has been successful.
