That was actually pretty moving.

Yeah I cried at the end.

First few minutes I didn't know what to make of it. Then I really started to enjoy it. It was raw emotional and quite sad for the most part.

The last scene when the nurse and the guy get together and Derek scurries after them was the bit theat made me laugh most. At that point I was laughing and crying at the same time, and anything that can do that to a person is IMO pretty special.

Words fail me

Give it a try... Being articulate is the new cool.

Still a rich talentless grammy award winning goggle eyed (very pc of you) unfunny ****

Which means fuck all. Hollywood will throw cash and awards at anything they can appropriate and accordingly butcher for its own nourishment, hence the US Office. Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais are still unfunny, increasingly desperate and thankfully increasingly irrelevant, Barclaycard-shilling cunts. That Merchant wears stupid fucking glasses is a bonus.

Im going to say this again as i have many times about many other famous people on here

BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE THEM IT DOESN'T MAKE THEM TALENTLESS

Always makes me laugh when people come out with shit like thaty.

I can understand people sayin 'I think he's shit'. Fair enough. But it's clear as night and day that they have talent otherwise they wouldn't be as regularly employed.

Basically, anyone spewing that line is fucking stupid.

Im a big gervais fan. but only found this to be average. didnt see the point of it to be honest and i struggle to see how a series can be made out of it.

He is a talentless Twat.

Karl was funny in the first series of "idiot", but after that it was crap.

And there is the guarenteed talentless twat comment

Wish i was so talentless i could make a BAFTA and Grammy award winning series, break hollywood and become a bonified star with millions in the bank

Fucking talentless, FFS

ha so true. The truth is, make a thread about any semi successful person and 80% of people will comment slagging them off. Nobody likes successful people because there jealous. Most the people who slag of these 'successful people' are probably factory workers who have done fuck all with their lives

Both spot on

Its like a contest who can slag of someone famous the most. pretty sad really.

Personally I would never call anybody working in a field as subjective as comedy 'talentless' simply because I don't find them funny - it's a bit like saying an artist is crap because you don't like the way he paints.
I watched this, and found myself desperately trying to 'get' the message or subtext of it,as i'm sure there must have been one,but I must have been having a blonde moment,as it passed me by.
Each to their own,but I wouldn't be eagerly anticipating a sequel.
On a totally different note,I see Gervais the shameless self-publicist has had a go at horse racing today, suggesting it should be banned.
If I were him,I would stick to trying to make people laugh, rather than resort to calling people 'mongs' and prattling on about a sport he clearly knows fuck all about.

NF im not saying his new show was funny, i didn't watch it personally but i would never take the opinions of posters on here to see if something was good as generally you would think nearly all famous people had murdered there families.
Its the "talentless" comments that piss me off

Paris Hilton and other fuck holes like her are talentless

I never listen to anyone talking horse racing if they dont do it because they tend to know as much as me "fuck all"

Fair play - we are as one regarding the 'talentless' debate,as Gervais clearly has enough talent for enough fans to make him a millionaire several times over, regardless of what others may think.
Watching the programme last night,I wasn't even sure if it was meant to be black comedy,or parody,or satire,or post-modern ironic comment on our attitudes to mental health,so although it didn't make me laugh personally,i'm not convinced that it was supposed to.
I know what you mean about off topic logic - everyone is either the best thing since sliced bread,or they are the biggest **** who ever lived.
We don't tend to do shades of grey on here.
