For me it was the auction - right from no-one moving and the incomprehensible auctioneer to Andy

S1E3 when they go round to terrys and they have his wifes home made lemonade. Funny

Only just started watching this after it was recommended by a friend. Only 4 episodes into series 1 but it is brilliant. It's almost like the metal detecting equivalent of the Gone Fishing show with Mortimer and Whitehouse. On one hand very gentle and yet hilarious. Loving it.

The best one about that was in the Xmas special just gone when Craig the Scottish hard man who helped out the Terra Hawks is at the party and he necks half a pint of it in front of Varde and Louise and just goes ahhhhhhh when they expect him to collapse in agony

Five episodes in now. I'm enjoying it and the characters are very engaging, maybe it's just my sense of humour but I wouldn't really class it as a comedy? Started off hating that woman Andy is with, she reminds me of a hard nosed emotion-devoid pit of a woman I work with, but actually starting to think she's ok.

I do see the little jokes and a couple raise a smile, but it's not belly laugh stuff so far. Kind of feels like I'm missing out on the joke or looking through the binoculars the wrong way.

Friends keeps saying wait for the bit, you'll know the bit, it's hilarious, maybe it's been built up too much for us or maybe we're just an episode away from getting it.
