Hi all

On a similar topic (can`t post my own yet as new member) but does anybody know of a supporters club in or near Torquay (Devon) ? I have been a supporter since 1964 and born in Torquay but now retired. I am a blue city card holder. Been home and away a fair bit over the years. I drink in the Printers Elbow with a 3 or 4 other City fans and it would be good to have a few more pop in. As said though would love to hear of any supporters anywhere nearby re travel, meetings etc

Thought I'd do a thread as it may off got lost in the thread he originally posted it in and Higgi is new to BM.

Welcome Higgi1p.

Never thought I'd see another person from around here ;]

I know someone was trying to set one up last year, for this year, but I've sent him emails and had no responses for a while now. Could really do with someone setting up one locally with increasing demand for tickets. I know there are a lot of blues who would get involved down here.

Pop in pub when city next on box (might be on foreign chan today ! unless the reds get in first !) and have a chat. Just ask for Pete the City fan.

Several Blues in Brixham, Trusty, Skeet, Perksie to name but a few. Always have the game on in the Crown, The Cricket Club and the Rugby Club. Don't know if that's of any use or interest to you.

Pretty sure it would be the 'South-West' branch of the supporters club that covers those areas ... ....

failing that your closest branches would probably be Weston-super-mare , or Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Will try to! There's 5/6 of us that go in the Devonport in Paignton for most games, they show pretty much every game.

Try the South West branch , Sam ......

it covers Devon and Cornwall areas.

I'm an exiled blue living in Okehampton. I'd love to get to home games almost weekly but the trains are a crazy price these days and I don't drive.
I try to get to London away games every year though, and with Southampton and Reading back up, there's options there.

We are based in North Devon and organise travel to most home games and many aways. Sharing travel and costs would be great as it's a 520 mile round trip to each home game. The south west branch has now closed down for some reason. A few blues tried starting a Devon and Cornwall branch last season but it was a logistical nightmare for meetings etc. so that idea has been put on hold for the time being. We have now decided to open a North Devon branch offering tickets and travel to games. To join and help out with running the branch send me a PM and i will reply asap.

Cheers

Fair play to you guys. I used to go on holiday to Babbacombe every year and know South Devon really well. What I do know is it's a fuckin long way away from Manchester! Good luck and hats off!
