Diabetes

It's the soles of my feet like someone sticking a poker in them
It’s the top of my feet for me. It’s like the skin has been worn down to nothing with sand paper, and anything that touches them is ultra sensitive and extremely uncomfortable.
Doc has said it’s doesn’t sound like neuropathy. Very odd.

Got diagnosed Jan 23 weight was over 26 stone and I just got ill all the time. In Jan this year I started using Mounjaro which is a weightloss injection used by diabetics and I'm currently down to 20 stone 1lb and all my diabetes readings are in the green, I feel absolutely brilliant. Still wanna lose another 4 stone but for me Mounjaro was a game changer it's not cheap tho.
Fair fucks to you. That is some weight you were but you’re smashing it.

I was 19.5 at diagnosis but because I’m tall it’s deceiving. I don’t look big.

I’m around 18 now and that’s just cutting out crisps and shit like that. I’ve just demolished a plate of broccoli, cauliflower and a gammon steak. No carbs. Little changes like that, but the doc then goes mad because of the red meat v cholesterol.

Can’t win.

I've type 2 ,never suffered any physical effects .. my blood sugars are always a bit on the high side.. Nothing to do with weight, 6ft & 11 stone most of my life ..tried different drugs with the Metformin. Nothing brings it down enough..pretty sure I've been on the maximum dose for years , so I was surprised to read on here that taking the maximum dose of Metformin could be harmful to my kidneys!!!!!

I’m skeptical of tablets, always have been. I was on 3 Metformin a day at the start, then my meds were ok so they lowered it to 1. Why not 2? I’m not convinced but I pop 1 per day as the docs prescribe. I don’t even know what the fuck it does.

I'm on them and they are working. On occasions though, they bring on a clenched-arse waddle to the bathroom which is not great thing if you're at football. Sometimes preferable to watching Swindon at the moment though.
