Diabetes

I've been the docs today. He was chuffed to bits that id lost 2 stones and my blood pressure was down by 25/15.
He's took me off one of my BP meds for a few weeks to see how it goes.
My Blood sugar down to 5.8 today. He said that was acceptable and fallswithin 'reverse' levels. Said 12 years ago the patients on his books with T2D was 120. Now it's 1500!
Jeez!
Soon to be 1499.
;-)

Well done mate glad its all going well for you too.

Well done to everyone who is self healing. Remember it doesn't happen overnight but it does happen. As for not having any clothes that fit. Yep! Been there. But the smug look on your face as you slip into a size 32 waist pair of jeans will be priceless. Mine was :-)

Fortunately none of my clothes have ever been fashionable so the expense is limited to the less exclusive choice of shops, the smugness is coming mate :)

I'd suggest immediately going on a paleo diet and see if it can be reversed.

Doctors won't tell you it can be, but cut sugar and wheat out and you could completely normalise once your gut bacteria heals up. I'm not an expert, but have heard and read plenty to say diabetes can be sorted if caught and attacked head on.

Had a mate drop dead at 40 thanks to it, horrible thing to have.

Best of luck with it buddy.

Yep, most grains ( especially wheat ) are the worst and really shouldnt be consumed by humans, terrible for gut health which is probably the leading cause of human disease today.

A scientist I know told me that the wheat we eat today is not the same our grandparents ate!
I've had 2 pieces of bread in 10 weeks. Both on my birthday last month.
I'm surprised at how much I DON'T miss it.

Good chance that's the case with agricultural changes. I've gone months at a time without it but I'll always find myself coming back to it. They've created so many forms of it that we've grown up with that it is hard to escape but I always feel bunged up and sluggish when I eat it.

Went to McDonalds today had the big mac without the bun with a dry salad and spring water. No medication at all for weeks now and have lost 2 stone and have initiated a fast walking regime. I don't remember feeling as good as this for decades, and people are noticing that I am not wearing (Bigger gentlemens clothes) and am wearing less baggy threads.
Blood sugars are much much better but still have a ways to go before they come down fast enough from a spike after I have eaten strawberries or blueberries, but I am confident they will get there.

Had 3 month blood test a couple of weeks back. Just phoned for resilts and im showing 'normal '
At 40. (42 and above is prediabetic).
Have to go back next week for official confirmation but I'm happy with that.
