Did Mancini put his own CV ahead of City's interests?

Oh, and Moomba - I think you'll find Hughes was manager when we beat Arsenal...

In the run-in last season, the last few games, I would suggest most of those was a crunch game... Everton at home... lost, Manyoo at home... lost. Carling Cup semi decider against the rags... lost.

Spurs obviously. I would suggest Liverpool on Monday night was a crunch game. Being knocked out by the first decent team we faced in the UEFA Cup...

The rags away a few weeks ago... Chelsea a fortnight ago... lost.

Failure to beat the rags, Everton or Spurs or Arsenal this season.

It's harder to think of games that Mancini has ever exceeded expectations. Can you think of one?

I can think of several, but if you're picking and choosing which games are crunch ones and which aren't I don't imagine any will be accepted.

failure to win a crunch match in 16 months does not make for pleasant reading.

What would you classify as a crunch match, given we've beaten Chelsea (twice), Rags, Arsenal, Liverpool in that time.

Or are we just talking the Spurs match and the league cup semi, 16 months does seem a lot more impressive than 2 matches I guess.

Arsenal?

-- Wed Apr 13, 2011 7:23 pm --

Go on then... just ONE game where Mancini's team has exceeded expectations.

Even Reading and Blackpool have done that this season!

Not one. Lost every big game he's had to navigate. The guy's such a fucking muppet I honestly think some of the posters on this board have completely taken leave of their senses. The amount of drivel I've read attempting to defend him is unbelievable...

Oh, and Moomba - I think you'll find Hughes was manager when we beat Arsenal...

He's a fucking muppet eh? You've never liked him Billy and never will despite you posting on numerous occasions that you don't dislike him you just don't think he's a good manager

What do you mean attemption to defend him? Of course posters will defend him, he's our manager and some people me included still believe he's doing a good job and still think we'll finish in the top four. I've been on here after every draw, after every defeat and posted my thoughts, i've done the same again this week. I think i've been very fair in what i've said about Mancini and i've give my reasons why i'm still behind him as the boss

It's difficult to post on here at times because it seems that people can't wait to come on here after a defeat and have a pop because it backs up the opinion they've held from day one. I'm not interested in all that, people somethings get things wrong me included, i hope i'm not wrong with regards Mancini but if i am, i'll hold my hands up and say i was wrong, i'd get the feeling that you and many other posters would be telling us how you knew you were right from day one which i don't get

-- Wed Apr 13, 2011 6:32 pm --

Depends on the individuals 'expectations' to it's pretty hard to answer rightly or wrongly really

Two out of three Chelsea matches. Time to move on to your next point.

I'd get the feeling that you and many other posters would be telling us how you knew you were right from day one which i don't get

oh don't worry, half of them have been on both sides of the fence according to the last result. there are some hilarious bumps to be made one day.
