We had a bit of trouble on Tuesday. The brass were coming up to us offering to well, you can guess, and we just kept walking and they started slapping us. They keep slapping you until you slap them back (chivalry goes out the window when there's some beefy whore slapping you at 3am in the morning), then they kick off, kick up a fuss and start shouting.
Apparently at this point their pimps come over pretending to help out, get out their knives and empty your pockets and wallets.
As they were shouting and stuff, I saw a group of about 5 dark lads walking towards us looking well dodgy. We walked away and luckily they didn't do owt.
We were careful though, never standing still in crowded places and always keeping our hands in our pockets.
Wasn't too impressed with Barca to be honest.

what a stupid thread,anyone who knows about europe knows ramblas is one of the dogiest streets in europe for brass/theives
people who were warning about it on here were doing people a favour,sounds like 5/6 had stuff nicked aswell so people were spot on to warn.
its not a slur on barca as a place or thr people of barca just that this bit is iffy,its the same as the back of piccadilly in manc or peter street on a saturday night.

My mate went to Barca with his Mrs a few weeks ago, had his passport & wallet robbed. I had no problems myself when I went a few years back but I've heard loads of bad storys about robberies in the City. The only problem I had was with the prozzies, they get a bit nasty when you refuse their services. It's a nice place Barcelona, but there's certainly better/safer places to visit

i got wallet stolen on metro around lunchtime, bought another ticket gave it my to mate to look after, on the way to game on the metro he got done,
had to buy another ticket
94,000 there 3 of them where me
just to cap it off 2 off my mates missed flight back to manchester, had to pick them up at luton at 1.00 pm
despite all that, i had a great time & saw city win in the nou camp

only just read this thread as i just back from me jols and this single reply sums up a fair few dickhead comments just jumping to conclusions about an individuals view of a subject (mainly on race issues),thus i would like to advise people with left wing views to read VERY slowly so the brain cause has time to adjust to the fact that just because someone gives a negative opinion they may not be being xenophobic..
