At Charlton, according to the FA's own website he's a bit like his Pa.

An industrious midfielder, some of his father’s playing qualities have certainly rubbed off on the young Addick as he is comfortable with the ball at his feet and he has a good range of passing.

And from the Addicks' Academy site:
Diego Poyet

Probably the best-known of the new crop due to his international achievements, England U16 midfielder Poyet remains very level-headed.

The son of Brighton & Hove Albion boss Gus, Poyet has been at Charlton since U13 level and lives in Orpington.

A good reader of the game, Poyet is also a fine marker who tracks opposing players well.

Poyet also likes to get teams playing and is a calming presence.

An U16 skipper for club and country, Poyet also has a terrific shot and likes to get forward and score goals.
Worth a look for the future? Especially considering he'd assist with the HG issue.

Also, those ITK on the youngsters, what's the chances of seeing some/more of Lopes, Suarez, Razak next season? And can anyone tell me about George Evans, my Manc mate raves about him.

I think we have been linked with him before so he is certainly not unknown.

The chances of seeing more of Lopes, Suarez and Razak are slim, none of them are at the level yet to push any of our main squad players I think. They will however be given loan moves though I hope.

Razak is the closest out of any of them though.

As for George Evans, he is very highly rated by the staff and I am sure other players have said good things about him. Haven't seen him play over 90mins but he looked ok in the pre-season matches he played in.
Some more info.. <a class="postlink" href="http://mancityonline.com/introducing-man-citys-george-evans.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://mancityonline.com/introducing-ma ... evans.html</a>

Watched him in the first half of the Sheff United V Charlton game today.

For 18 i thought his positional sense was excellent. Calm and assured on the ball and looked to be mature for his age.

Going to keep an eye on him anyway to see how his career progresses.

Defo one for the future i have been told today the deal is done but he will stay at charlton for the remainder of this season and next season to continue his development but will be a blue by 2014-15 season
