Why dont you buy/convert to lpg cars?
I have a duel fuel car, costs $80/90 to fill up with petrol and $35/40 on gas.

That's as true but it would be unwise to say that the correlation does not equate to oil price being causative.

That's true, I estimate that a $10 change in the oil price should equate to £0.06 in the price of petrol/diesel (ignoring VAT), talking of VAT the government must be running about £200m per year better than forecast at present...there is a need to cap the maximum VAT the government take per litre...none of this VAT escalator model they mentioned then forgot about, an absolute cap set each year based on their budget would be far simplier to implement.

Your'e probably right, I'm just scepticle as a work colleague has problem after problem with his Giulietta.

Probably pampering her too much.

If anyone wants to know where the tax take is going, we've been at war - a whole series of wars - for the past 10 years. Funding war is expensive.

Because even LPG isn't cheap anymore and is probably more deadly in a car crash than a nuclear weapon

my dad used to run an old 52 plate 306diesel on refined chip fat oil....he bought it from a small private refinery in rochdale and paid duty.

he mixed it 70/30 with diesel....cheap as chips ;)

Ive got a 52 plate diesel C5 it uses a tank of gas every two weeks 70 notes and im doing 500+ miles in that time its a big sluggish beast though.

he mixed it 70/30 with diesel....cheap as chips ;)

i'll get some details from my dad mate...i think it cost him 85p a litre including fuel duty....the older the diesel engine the better...the more modern diesels dont like the chip fat

Even the motors will only run a unsaturated fats!
