I read somewhere that if an adult male was to stay in bed all day and do nothing your body needs 1800 calories to operate, anything over accounts for the exercise you do during the day so if you reduce your calorie intake to closer to 2000 instead of 2500 you will drop weight.
Thats about right, im not overweight really just wanted to get down to a more desirable weight, and doing this was effective but it does take dedication. But it also makes you realise just how many calories are in everyday foods, a portion of fish and chips for example is 2000 calories , thats your daily allowance! And even just a glass of pepsi 140cals. I cut out fizzy drink altogether too.
