That's third tier.

Is it? Need to get my eyes tested.
I was convinced an oh-shit-yeah was coming my way there. I am disappointed.

Did anyone else notice last season that the website address appeared to have been badly tippexed out on this?

I'll be honest I don't have a banner myself, I've sat in East stand Level 2 for 6 years at the end towards the family stand and I've always enjoyed the banners on show, they add warmth to the ground, show dedicated and affection from us as supporters in the only real direct way we can towards a modern footballer. How many times have we seen it where a player picks out a banner or personalised flag from his country e.g the "Silva és Magico" Spain flag in the family stand and points to it or claps towards it before kick off or scoring a goal.
Look at the German clubs in European competition particularly Dortmund and you can see a genuine display of colour that sells the club on TV and creates a genuine atmosphere. I've come to accept that City is a marketing platform and a platform for the mutual promotion of the UAE (and I'm fine with this as I'm just glad to see City doing well) but I don't feel too good about seeing fans be told that they cannot display their banners where they sit - yes I know the club have offered digital banners but that to me is a cold appeasement by the club to avoid too much upset.

I understand the club needs to make money to build the sustainable business model we need to be but I think that this is something which could have been dealt with in a more considerate manner by the club, perhaps offer an alternative place (not digital) for banners to be hung.

Out of curiosity has anyone suggested preserving flags but hanging them with a few feet of slack, so that they hang lower than the LED displays? Maybe not an option, just trying to think of ways to have our cake and eat it too (curse the Yaya nonsense for making me think twice whenever using the word "cake").

hung below the LED would block the view from the back of the lower stand, the club know full well what they have done and imo that was wrong ,that was the fans space for transmitting to the players etc and the club has flogged it off to coca cola for a few quid
