What they said was 'I' ll request a card for you' didn't say you'd get one and wouldn't guarantee it for my 11 yo son even though he doesn't have a phone

I just spoke to the club and they said the alternatives were:

Electronic Card on your phone
Plastic Seasoncard
Print at home
Collect at the ground

The latter I hope from a myriad of self print machines rather than the ticket office.

But he didn't know if there were any plans to announce to us what alternatives we're. I guess get the majority by default and deal with the rest as they come.

The club can't be serious about print at home tickets for every match. Why should a season ticket holder have to do that. I use digital devices for everything in my life like most people. But the club must clearly communicate to its customers what is happening.
Whatever anyone says on here the Everton match was a total shambles and I know that from my personal experience and people who were working for the club on the day. People got into the stadium with no security checks at all, myself included, because the system didn't work at the main gate or the turnstile.

I phoned up yesterday after seeing a post saying you could request a card. The person I spoke to said they could put my request on the system but they will be reviewed on a case by case basis. When I asked what the criteria for this was she didn’t know. This doesn’t suggest that they will just tick the print at home option.

I’m not particularly optimistic I’ll get a card but let’s see.

I am optimistic that we will get a 'normal' type plastic season card if requested...but then I have always been a glass half full type of person. :-)

Went out and bought a new phone after the final match against Everton. I am not adverse to change but my previous phone was an antique. Been loading apps on and really enjoying my new toy, it is the way of the world and things are always developing.

In keeping with the utter balls up this SC window has been nothing would surprise me. The staff clearly haven’t been briefed and the story changes depending on who you speak to.

I’m not expecting a card even though I’ve requested one so it will be a pleasant surprise if one lands through my letterbox.

And that's the problem, everybody being told different...

Trouble is that all we officially know so far is that alternative arrangements will be available. We haven't had any communication from the Club about what these are, only contradictory comments from Supporter Services.
Just tell us exactly what's going to happen, City !
