Ask any city fan, certainly over the last decade, why they don't care much for the competition and they will probably talk to you about corruption and jobs for the boys mentality. Being singled out and not given a fair chance to win it.
For the football club, despite the shit that goes alongside UEFA , it is a tournament we need to win to make further progress. Based on that, I can understand Peps frustration.
The same principles for our disdain apply in every competition we play in. Everyone hates us and every cartel at the level we compete at is generally out to stop us.
I would love to win it purely as a fuck you.

Sometimes I just don't think Pep tells the story right and from what I can gather he does see the CL as a prestigious competition and doesn't always get just how old school city fans are. Bobby manc got us. He completely bought into us as a group of fans. In this particular type of situation I think Pep is a million miles away from us.
He will go down as our greatest ever manager and probably THE greatest ever in the game, but I'll never have the same connection to him as I did Roberto.
