Get in. That gets me top of the list....

Any season ticket holder will get one though. But us "loyal" ;-) fans on the cup scheme can pick the best

I'm with yer on this DD. Come rain, shine or shit, we're there with our loot and stickin' our bodies on the line. Yer can't put a price on that, and it's nice when the club recognise it!

WELL DONE CITY TICKET OFFICE!!!!!!!!! I think we should go back to the old way of buying programmes home and away 1st team and reserves, cutting the tokens out and sticking it to the sheet of paper handed out at the start of the season. Then queue up the night b4 they go on sale,in the rain, then feel like charlie from the chocolate factory with a golden ticket. Now that is LOYALTY... Just thought i would bring a few memories back;}...

I'm referring to this.

'Buying tickets for other supporters

We are aware that some groups of supporters with different numbers of loyalty points would like to purchase tickets together for this match. In an attempt to support this, groups of up to six supporters may purchase tickets as soon as 50% of the supporters have the requisite number of loyalty points, as long as all supporters have 3,000 points or more. Where one or more supporters have less than 3,000 points, those on higher points can wait until every member of the group qualifies or buy tickets separately.'

Sorry Gio

Maybe i should read the full statement - Getting nervous 'cos i have 4,000 points but my lad who is 12 only 2,500 but they do state that i can buy a ticket for him at the same time.

I think you are looking at Tuesday 5th April at the earliest then mate. It's only possible to buy tickets for others if they have 3,000 or more. Otherwise, if you intend to take him, then you will have to wait until he qualifies which is on that date. Hope you both get one.

Wonder if someone in the know could clarify this. If you're in the cup scheme do you still qualify to buy a ticket for a season ticket holder who doesn't have the requisite loyalty points on the first day?

Any one supporter can purchase up to six tickets, using valid, qualifying Seasoncards. To purchase tickets on behalf of other supporters, the buying supporter must be in possession of each of the respective cards at the time of booking and be prepared to answer a number of security questions relating to each of the card holders including date of birth, postcode and card num
Not 100% clear, I would guess no as they don't have the requisite number of loyalty points but was just checking.

The way I read it is that there's a limited number of junior tickets that can be purchased by an adult with a higher points total:

We also appreciate that there may be a significant difference in loyalty points between junior supporters (under the age of 16) and their parent(s) or guardian(s). A limited allocation of tickets will be made available to Junior Seasoncard holders for purchase with a ticket for an Adult Seasoncard holder. At the point where the adult qualifies, they can also purchase up to two junior tickets (one per Junior Seasoncard holder) regardless of their loyalty point status.

if you are buying for a junior season card holder you can buy when it gets to the adults points criteria

I would guess no also. My understanding was that the cup scheme is effect on the Saturday for everyone in it. But that those buying for other supporters who qualify for Sunday onwards in terms of points (even if in the cup scheme) are only able to buy tickets for people with 3,000 points from that point on

-- Fri Mar 18, 2011 5:15 pm --

Ah, sorry, hadn't read that.

I'm on it, and was on it last season as well, and would also be able to buy on the second day. It's a case of the club doing what they feel is the fairest thing. You can't please everyone. And I am willing to bet that, once again, this thread will end up a 20 pager!!!

And before anyone says well you can go to home cup matches. I have also attended every away cup match and all the Euro away matches so I guess I shouldn't feel bad about being able to get a ticket for the semi!!

I also remember Bert Trautman's final in 1956 although I didn't attend that match........................... I didn't have enough loyalty points at the time as I was too young........... but I have built them up over the years!!!! :-)

The cup direct schemes are they just for home games and can you split between cups or have to buy all of them????

You could choose to go for FA, Euro or Carling Cup or all three. I registered for all three and they are just for home games.
