direct cup and you get first chance of tickets !!!

I questioned the benefit of being in the cup scheme, only getting 50 points extra, when 100 was given out for just for one game didn't seem right.
Good on the club for redressing that balance, it will have an impact on future sales and maybe better attendances at cup games. It’s a welcome acknowledgement for the commitment to attend the cup games, something that has created many topics on this year for the poor attendances!
I wonder if the club will do the same next year?

People in closed stands and south stand will have chase their ticket anyway, im not bothered about where i sit (to a certain extent) and i got to the office since its no bother.

What im saying is there wasnt the incentive which there is now and had i know wembly priority was available i would have jumped at it, who wouldnt?

You shouldn't need incentive, that's the whole point... the one's who did sign up did so without incentive. They just wanted to follow City and they'll get to do that.
No, i mean incentive beyond watching city, which we all want to do. Some of us just bought the tickets not on the CDS because there isn't (wasn't) a difference.

Got 5,500 points myself so im ok but Dad and lad 3,600 and 2,000 would get one but i would have to wait until criteria reached 2,000 Cup direct scheme all members " Oh Happy days"

Nope you can get all three at 3,500 you can get up to six tickets as ong as 50% are in the current sales criteria.

No you won't...only applies to 3000 points and above.

Joke! I ain't arsed tbh I got 7055 points and will get one piece of piss but it's a joke. Someone could have got a season ticket this season on cup scheme and get a ticket before me! And before someone asks I ain't missed a home cup game!

I'm just curious of how people on the scheme would have reacted if they weren't on it.

and I have the points to get a ticket.

I'd agree with it regardless, as i've said about 12 times in this thread now.

It's the way City operates; pledge attendance upfront and you guarantee your ticket... they've just extended that from league to cup. Ideally would have advertised this at the beginning of the season but then we'd have had people signing up for points not to follow City.

At least this way people who generally just wanted to follow CIty will get to (and i don't mean me, i mean the one's with 2k points etc)

It's not about affecting people though, it's the principle of being classed as loyal as those who couldn't be arsed going to all of the games when we have bought the same tickets as those who are in the CDS.

Again put yourself in mine and a couple of thousand of others shoes for one minute, you didn't join the CDS but have gone to every cup game, where as i joined the CDS and went to every cup game.

Would you be agreeing with it then? Honest answer mate.

I agree fans who have been to all the cup games should also be rewarded but once again, if you knew you were going to go to all the games why would you not join the scheme?

Because it just never crossed my mind.

loyalty works

You must be deluded. This isn't rewarding loyalty. This is their sad little way of making sure everybody signs up to the cup direct scheme next year even when they can't afford to or have conflicting work commitments.

I've been to all FA cup this season, but once again this season have been shafted by a club that is really showing little of a shit it gives about fans.

^^This

I have been to all homes games of both competitions but don't want to sign up to the cup direct scheme as I still like to have a say in the matter. I have around 3500 points and have already decided to get my semi ticket through the OSC so I will get a semi final ticket, but this is a disgrace...

Edit:
If city are reading this I would just like to add that I went on to the Kiev game on Thursday, arrived late as I had to drive from the wirral after work, parked somewhere different for the first time so i could get into the ground quickly and not miss too much of the game.....got back to my car to find my back window smashed, passenger side front window smashed and damage to the bodywork...£300 excess and fucking hassle all day sorting it out...

I'd just like to thank city for the final fucking insult..the coupe to grace if you will....

Fuck im confused?

As long as 50% of the group have enough points to buy their tickets, the rest of the group can purchase their tickets at the same time.

There are some conditions though:

A group of people buying tickets together in this way is a maximum of 6 people
Every member must have at least 3,500 points

So you couldn't have done it this way as your lad only has 2,000 points. However being in the cup scheme has helped you :)

Yes, and i've explained why many times over.

I wouldn't disagree that City have seen this as a chance to increase next season cup attendances, rewarding CDS members whilst affecting pretty much no one. But CC holders will pay more per match than a ST holder yet the fact the ST holder pledged attendance upfront they get priority, its the same here.

I'm sorry but i don't beleive that mate.

-- Fri Mar 18, 2011 11:16 pm --

To be honest I just thought I'll buy em online as and when they come up...which is what I did...just didn't see any need to join the scheme.

But why would you join? the only reason was convenience, and even then south standers and those in closed stands still have to ring up or go to the office anyway.

For me, there was no advantage to be gained from joining the scheme

so you go to home games? any aways?

and you're moaning?

us ones who do the aways have no issues because we've been awarded with our loyalty

advice...

get off your backsides, follow the team to aways, then you might avoid the scramble for semi tickets

The 3000 point thing is only for adults. An adult can buy a junior ticket once the points get to the adult's level.

Haha, so you're basically calling me a liar?

The way City have done tickets doesn't really benefit me in any way shape or form, and even then, i'd like to think i've got a bit more integrity than to take the attitude "as long as i'm ok, fuck everyone else" i've never been like that.

That is the same reason as me, plus at the Villa and Juventus games i was able to sit with 5 of my mates which i couldn't do if i was on the CDS. I just didn't see the need to join up.

agree

whereas i agree with the motives and the acknowledgement of the cup fans endevours the timing of this move is just wrong.

Exactly my point. They should have given more warning about the ability to buy SF tickets if you were on the scheme, for me there is no other reason to join

What about the bonus loyalty points? 50 for each scheme and an extra 25 if you joined all 3. Might not be a lot compared to 6000 points which is what some have but it's better than a kick in the teeth.
