Discontent that will end the Tory Govt is coming

I think now they've raped the country, they want out, they have no continuing solutions to this mess, they're doing their utmost to jump ship, only problem is the public being apathetic and can't be arsed.

The public can't do anything until the next general election. It's clear that the public - by and large - are seriously pissed off with this lot in charge. Just because we don't take to the streets and riot doesn't mean there isn't discontent.

What has happened to this country, I know the health service has not been great for years but my 90 year old mum who was having severe chest pains has just been sat in a ambulance in Shrewsbury hospital from 7pm Sunday to 3am monday, she then got wheeled into accident & emergency & sat there on a trolley untill around 12.30 when they moved her into a ward,
She is old school so makes the best of things & never complains but how have we got into this state as a country?
(Fair play to the hospital staff they have all been fantastic & very helpfull.)

Sorry to hear about your mum’s problems J.G.B.

Similar situation with my dad earlier in the year. He’d avoided Covid like the plague during the last couple of years due to his failing health but was forced to seek medical help due to breathing difficulties - left it as long as possible, like you say, old school. He was admitted to hospital with a letter from his doctor stating that it was an emergency due to very low oxygen levels. Despite this, after 28 hours they still hadn’t found him a bed and he was deteriorating quickly. We decided he was better off at home than in a corridor and went to pick him up. He died a couple of weeks later.

I feel the lack of dignity afforded to him by a system to which he’d contributed all his life was nothing short of a disgrace. Although I agree with you, that the staff were very helpful, they didn’t have the resources to do the job properly. I have to say, I’d have more respect for NHS staff, teachers etc., if they took industrial action for the people they’re purportedly serving rather than for more pay. That just raises inflation for everyone, including private sector workers, who are rarely organised or represented by a union. They’ve been part of a service which has been failing stakeholders for at least a generation but have acquiesced until they felt the pinch.

As for those responsible, Tory scum, every chance I get the chance to put the boot in…

Dreadful mate - hope your Mum is OK but the answer to your question is " Tories" - 12 years of Tories running the whole place down whilst lying to you telling you it was all hunky dory.

Sorry to hear about your dad,
To be honest I am aged 60 & have never voted in my life although due to various reasons I have always sided with the Conservatives, I know it would be difficult for things to get worse but genuine question, do you think things would get noticably better under labour? (or anyone else for that matter)
I dont usually get into politics because it often just turns into pointless insults, cheers.

Thanks, she is now home again so I and the family can look after her but she has already told me if she has any more health problems not to ring for a Ambulance as she wants to be / will be ok at home,
Genuine question do you think things would be noticably better if Labour were in power? or anyone else for that matter.

It’ll take a long time to recover whoever’s in charge. For me, I’ve never voted Labour or conservative but I’d be tempted with the former this time round if it tactically kept the conservatives out. The VIP lane was enough for me, let alone everything else, to think the conservatives should be out of power and for a considerable amount of time too.

Are there any private sector companies striking?...no, they can’t hold a gun at the private sectors collective head!
Are we all in this ‘belt tightening together? Are we fuck!
where does the money come from to pay an extra 17-20%?

Mass delusion on a grand scale.
