I must admit, it reflects badly on Pellegrini that he is the first manager in the history of the Premier League to rotate players for a cup game.

He hasn't just done it for cup games though has he? He's done it in the prem hence we are chasing Liverpool's arse.

As for the cup he did it and survived, just, but having not learned a lesson he does it again against a better side with a Wembley appearance at stake. We have owners supposedly wanting to raise our profile and build the brand. Nothing does that more than the fa cup final, especially a winning one.

Like it or not pelli dropped one, well a few actually.

I like your posts de niro, straight to the point, say what you think, and a proper Blue. However my friend today is not the day for this debate, lets save that one for post season and lessons learned

totally agree mate, I was just answering a post earlier. I have every faith pellers will put the right side out from here on in.

To lose one golden opportunity Mr Pellegrini may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness

Have you sharpened those knives Georgy Porgy ? Big day for you and the rest of the lamenters.

He's not wrong. We've been given a second bite at the apple, Pellegrini's chance for his first major European trophy, the teams chance to solidify this as the most successful era of the entire club.. Three games to win to make it a reality. To screw it up now would reflect far more poorly on the team and manager than if Liverpool hadn't lost to Chelsea and let us back in it.

The only people who think he's been given any kind of second chance are those who gave up the title in the first place. Admittedly it was difficult after Liverpool/Sunderland BUT it wasn't over. That's the beauty of a football season ... doesn't matter when your opponents drop points, as long as they do.

It's also the beauty of still being in the title race with a few games to go as opposed to pissing it away in February like we did last season. Affords you the opportunity to capitalise on those dropped points.

Complete load of rubbish and the same was written when we won it two season ago. The season is judged over 38 games when all team have played both teams twice.

The year we beat United they posted a huge total of 89 points and them throwing it away consisted of one defeat and a draw to a very good Everton side and then losing to us.

Liverpool this year have gone on a ridiculous run and so at some point it was likely they would drop points in one of those last game and they have to a side who reached the last four in Europe.

If we win it we deserve to win it and the same goes for Liverpool. Incredible City fans are always the one undermining our achievements. It will not be due to others failings it will be due to the efforts of the players and the manager.

I think last season United put an incredible run together arriving at the end of March with a record of 25 - 2 -3. Credit to them last season and if our rivals this year had posted such a record this year it was have been difficult keep in touch after the early season results.

Appreciate that but after the performance against Sunderland I think a lot of us felt we weren't the only ones who thought it was over.

This is probably going to be deemed very controversial and I'm not trying to set anyone off and I'm not saying it's necessarily how I will feel if we don't win the title. I like the man, want him to stay but if he messes up his team selection today, doesn't pick a side and tactics that suits evertons style then there will be ALOT of people that simply will not forgive him and the doubts will set in a little. We can't be given this chance of redemption then get overrun again and bullied by a strong counter attacting team like what happened at Liverpool. Manuel has to be smart with this and he has to learn from previous mistakes

Totally agree.

We've been given life line after life line this season. Surely we cannot mess up now.

This is Pellegrini's chance to prove that he's not a nearly man.
