Manuel Pellegrini calls victory at Everton "a big step" but adds: "the worst thing we could do is to think we've won [the League]"

He's spot on. The players need to remain focussed. It's not over yet.

Thought it was a big call sending on Dinho when Kun came off. I'm delighted it paid off.

Its only the begiinning of the beginning.

Two huge games against sides that won't lie down and give it to us.

Our approach has to stay the same no matter what happens with Liverpool and Chelsea.

MP has to assume they will win their remaining two games.

Lets hope his assumption is off the mark.

and we need to win both games well to prevent Liverpool stealing it through dark magic.

4 points maybe enough, but I think we will have to win them both

I think the players are experienced to know for themselves that it's still all to do, but Pellegrini is setting the right tone.

I am desperately praying that victory today will lead to a defeat for Liverpool at Palace, but when have we ever been that lucky? Would be amazing for three teams to all finish on the same points and have it sorted by goal difference though.

After the Liverpool game I'd have taken that. Not now

I looked at the lineup today and thought it had dropped points written all over it.

Glad he switched formation when Sergio went out.

We have been saved twice by injuries from Pelle's strange selection,

1. Today when Augero's sub forced a 451 and
2. Toure's at Liverpool sub (again, forced a 451)- could've been worse than 3-2 with 442

I dont understand why doesn't he get it in away games, we need to control the midfield, settle, boss the game then win it.

I agree sergio going off was of benefit as it made him change things,
thought he set them up wrong to start with but got the win so well done pellers, one step closer

I'm really happy with the win, but did Pellegrini impress me today ? No. We could have easily lost.

I want Pellegrini to succeed more than anyone else. I really hope he can win that title for us, but so long as I see performances like these, my doubts about him will increase.
