Maly Wilson said:Although tonight is disappointing, how about a bit of perspective. There can only be one winning manager per season in the league & we have no divine right to win it EVER regardless of money spent.
Having witnessed Bond, Benson, McNeill, Frizzell, Machin, Kendall, Reid, Horton, Ball, Coppell, Neal, Royle, Keegan, Pearce, Sven, Hughes & Mancini, I'm pretty happy with Pellegrini.
Keep the faith.
Far too many knee jerk emotional comments on here tonight with it looking unlikely we win anything else this year. If we had a bit of luck which is required to win leagues/cups, we could have been looking at a double/treble/quadruple, so for me he ain't done badly in his first season.

Nonsense, he should stay, but next season has to be a big improvement, no sloppy defeats to average teams etc.gungho-tactics said:SuperMario's Fireworks. said:My biggest criticism is at times he's naive, you dont always have to have two strikers on the pitch, at the 70 minute mark we needex to solidify the midfield,
We had a 1-0 lead, so yeah, it wouldn't hurt if we got more midfielders in there.
It is not the first time Pellegrini has shown naivety . He will continue being naive until the end of his contact. But mustn't let him stay here for another 3 years. He must go right now.

I felt plenty of players put up a fight tonight. I think there was a lack of belief and the setup required precision players coming off the Liverpool game didn't have.chris85mcfc said:Maly Wilson said:Although tonight is disappointing, how about a bit of perspective. Don't mind the disappointment of missing out as long as we see the players putting up a fight to try and stay in with a chance of winning the league
What I saw tonight was a team that went 1 up then start blowing up the lilos and the rubber dingys ready for a few weeks on the beach
Blame who you want but at the end of the day it's not good enough
Don't let De Niro be a mod then. ;-)Ric said:Every time I read this thread a small part of me dies.
