Discuss Pellegrini...

It's getting to the point where I might not actually be able to address him by his name. From now on, when discussing our bang average manager I shall refer to him only as The Chilean.

I know I post a lot of shit. However, this is not a knee jerk reaction. I'm very calm right now. We have bought very badly. We have the highest wage bill in world sport.

I wanted Mancini gone. However, it is now conclusive that Pellegrini is no tactician. All he does is play the same style of football every week. No plan B. No plan to stop the opposition. Just sheer arrogance that we can be mini-Barcelona, let me tell you we are a shell of Barcelona. Why? Because Iniesta and Xavi actually give a shit about their club. He stands there like a plank of wood regardless of the result. Never changes the formation, just the personnel.

We turn up week in week out like we are fucking drunk. Our players look shocked that a game of football is happening. No pressing. No aggression. No passion.

Hart is NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD AS SOME THINK. I've never seen a keeper get beat at his near post so many times.

It's just funny. Seriously. Money can't buy passion because that is why teams like Wigan and Sunderland embarrass us time and time again. Because they want it more. After 4 years and 2 managers we still can't beat Sunderland and Stoke away. We seem to never learn our lesson.

I'm actually embarrassed to be a city fan tonight. The balance of the team is not right. We have way to many stars and not enough 'glue' players. Cahill, Terry, Azpic etc. Chelsea have a bedrock of solid performers. Aside from Fernandinho and Zaba all of our players have a howler in them. Even Liverpool have Henderson etc. Hard workers. We have a load of lazy fuckers robbing us blind.

Soriano promised that we would have a director of football approach and that the first team coach would be cycled every 2 seasons or so. Fuck managerial stability. This isn't 1980 any more. Sack him and hope Madrid sack Ancelotti at the end of the season.

You must post some fucking shit if you thought that was bad. That was like reading a post from some scouse hating OOT'er on redcafe.

P.S It's City not city

He writes what's bleedin' obvious.

It's a small number of bell-ends like you on this forum that can't see the wood from the trees.

the way we are playing homer simpson would do a better job

And wtf was that about, taking Ferny off and leaving Garcia on? I know Fern was knackered but fuck me Garcia never moved from in front of the back 4. Complete waste when chasing a game.

Our players wouldn't.

We need to get some more that will then, regardless who the manager is.

Says it all , the players we have don't have the bottle when it really counts and tonight two of them we got over the summer where on display.

It's not much about the manager tonight , more about the mental state of the players.

Sorry, I thought the manager's job was to control and encourage his players, not sit passively on the bench and watch them being complacent.

and he did well tonight didnt he

He's managing Everton; I've seen people on Grand Designs with a bigger budget than him.

He didn't do too bad against Mancini in the FA Cup final though did he, where he outclassed him from start to finish?

agreed, but shit head down road did well on a budget, not convinced he has got the mentality to deal with managing a huge club with a big budget. but maybe he will get a chance in time to prove it. you need a big manager for a big club,

That's the problem though with the way people conceive of managers.

All this bollocks about he's not got the right mentality, he's not a winner, he's not a great man manager, he can't motivate the players, he's no good at mind games, it's all bollocks and none of it matters.

Management is about playing the best team in the right formation from the players you have available. That is 95% of the job. The players are grown men, and do not need someone to shout at them - they're playing a game of football, not invading Normandy. Pick the best team on merit and the results will reflect the ability of the players.

Arsene Wenger yet to sign a new contract at Arsenal. I would go for him with Patrick Vieira as number 2

Our defense is a shambles as it is, our players have no bottle as it is and you want Arsehole Wanker? after he spouted his bile about us?

The leagues gone, Wigan we were a shambles, he was too blame, Barca at home he got wrong but he gets a solid 7/10 and deserves another season.

Noo noo noo no Wenger! Viera as the manager though, I would like it a lot. He's really done wonders with the EDS.

We know what's expected of him. 5 trophies in 5 years. And I think he'll deliver. Our owners are smarter than to drop a new manager after one season. They chose the right guy. This season's not about instant results, it's about the long picture: there's been a lot of great football. There's bound to be some tweaking of the squad in the summer, but a lot of things are right. Tonight was very disappointing, but let's not all overreact.

Ye, 5 league cups- thank you very much. Do you not realise next season will be hell? Chelsea are picking momentum, Liverpool re-invented themselves and on form, Rags will be back with purpose, etc.

Roberto Martinez is the person we should look to.

And Pellegrini got Villarreal to a CL SF, with a budget smaller than Keith Chegwin's penis on a winter's day.

See - we can all come up with silly reason like that, can't we?

Let Martinez prove himself with Everton first before people start clambering for the first manager who appears to be having a good season.

Not good enough. Not by a long way.

If you have the best squad and team then there are no excuses. Failed miserably when it really mattered.
