If something isn't working in any business you change it and football is no different. It has been obvious for some time now that whatever system we are playing has been sussed out and isn't working yet the manager persists with it,even defends it.Every single team we play no longer fears us and they all look like they will score from every attack and set piece against us. We are wide open all over the pitch,no player seems to know what they are doing, tactically we are shot and it is only the quality we have in our ranks, from the few who can be bothered that is saving us on occasion.

The players look shot and jaded and devoid of confidence. We need at least two stellar signings, top notch world class players the opposition are going to look at and think ''Shit!! Look who they have signed!!!'' This would give the whole place a lift and hopefully motivate the ones left.It will prove an interesting summer.
Cart has to go before the horse. Transfers aren't formally completed until the window opens but deals are discussed now. It wont be easy for City to close our ideal targets with the managerial uncertainty and we're led to believe that that wont be clarified until June.

Lets see how sanguine blues are by then.

And you know this for certain?
The immediate aftermath of the season and not before

Results over the weekend probably mean we'll be ok for 3rd or at worst 4th. with that in mind I think he'll now at least see out the season.

He still needs to go in the summer but unlike Mancini I think he'll be afforded a 'lap of the stadium' after the final game.

In recognition of what exactly?

a lap at the end of the season is for the players and staff to thank the fans for there support through the season, well that was my interpretation of it for 35 years of winning nowt..

Double last season mate and it's the classy way to do stuff not like the raggies.

Yup. If he goes he should be given respect, not hounded out. He's a decent man who took us to two trophies, with a shed load of goals in the process. This season's under-achievement shouldn't be allowed to obliterate everything or make us behave like fcukin oiks.

i called him a clown last season after he threw away the fa cup. of course i was given pelters for it particually as we won the league. truth is liverpool had that sewn up and then handed it to us. he has no clue on roration/meddling and consistency. we won the league last year, and are second now because of the quality in our squad. quite how we are second is beyond me. the players are clearly good enough, need tweaking but on the whole we still have an outstanding squad. if our owners are still worried over ffp buy a couple of top draw players, lose a couple that are here at present and then change the bloody manager. its cheaper than buying 6 or 7 players who cost the earth that the manager wont get the best out of anyway.

completely agree with all of this

I agree with everything apart from Liverpool having the league sown up last season and then handing it to us. They were on a very good run
which came to an end. We deserved to be champions last season. This season has been a major f*** up and he deserves to go in the Summer
even in the context of FFP restrictions and our rivals spending. He should be afforded respect though. One of only 4 managers ever to win
us the league, he got a fractured squad back together again and delivered arguably our best ever season last year. Time to go but many thanks
for the memories. A limited manager but a classy guy and he brought us short term success.

I want him gone, however I think I'll have to wait until the summer of 2016 to get my wish.

In my opinion he'll stay Paul, its the players who will be off, shame it didnt happen to those players who decided not to play against Wigan in the Cup Final

I do get the feeling Txiki and Ferran will have looked at how some of our players have performed this season and how they performed under the latter days of Mancini and possibly realised that far too many of them hold too much power in the dressing room and have got too comfortable with life at City.

Pellegrini has got it tactically very wrong at times this season but some of our players have been an absolute disgrace showing absolutely no fight or urgency at all, dare I say some of them have looked like mercenaries.

I think Manuel will stay, mainly because of our supposed dream for Pep, but also because it is time for a fresh start with a new team and maybe changing 7 or 8 players as well as a new manager and coaching staff it might just be a little too much change to happen in one summer.

Funny you say this. Was talking to a mate of mine at work yesterday and he was going on about how the players take advantage of Pellers because he's Mr. Nice guy. He even said he has a mate who works at City and apparently kompany is in charge. Before we moved to the new training facility apparently kompany didn't want the move and had a go at pellers.

Don't know if he was bullshitting or not but if he wasn't then their are serious problems in the dressing room...

I'm not saying it's true but, since when was it Pellegrini's decision to build the CFA Academy for our first team, and all youth team, purposes?

That's what I thought too, either way we were always going to move complex whether the squad liked it or not

Did Manuel have a touch of Alzheimer's last weekend, or is it me?
I'm sure the starting eleven against Villa was the same as that for the West Ham game.
When was the last time that we had an unchanged team for two consecutive games?

Tbh, I can imagine that story could be true. Not that the team doesn't move, but that the team doesn't move in the middle of a season.

I recon if you asked a lot of old pros, they would be dead against changing the training routine mid season & argue like fuck against it if it happened in their playing days.

Kompany may have voiced that concern.
