Get the remaining 3 games out of the way and see what happens. Ancelotti is out of the equation so that is another potential replacement chalked off. I hope Benitez will be the next candidate to be ruled out.

It's not rocket science. Don't play him in a midfield two, release him from defensive duties which aren't his strong point, and play him in a more advanced role where he frightens opposition defences to death. I predict that if he's sold this is where the team that signs him will use him, and we'll be watching clips of Yaya at his best for a few years to come.

Playing Yaya in his favoured position puts Merlin in a less favoured position. I know which I prefer and think is better for City

Exactly. And irrespective of what his best position is Toure wants out and has been actin like a c**t since last summer. He's getting sold for that reason as much as for any footballing reasons.

For me, the buy and sell decision on Yaya is about whether or not he really wants to stay.

I have no issue with the manager playing Silva in a wider role to accommodate Yaya centrally but whichever one has the more central role, it needs to be in a 4-3-3 where the middle three includes two quick, mobile and tenacious guys.

Genuine Question.
Does anyone, hand on heart no for sure Pellers is going after this season. The way some posters are wording their posts, there are going to be a lot of silly looking people on here if he's still here next season.

Nobody knows outside the board and the owner by the looks of it, so all speculation. Danamy who has decent contacts, said a couple of pages back that he has heard that he will be staying.

Cheers. I thought I had missed something the way posters were going on about the next manager being allowed to do this, that and the other.

I personally would like to see Pellers next year with the deadwood cleared out and fresh faces in. Yes I have turned 180 on this from a couple of weeks back

With Ancelotti out of the race, Klopp seemingly out in the cold and Pep likely staying I'm siding with keeping Pellegrini.

I've liked what I've seen from him lately he's shown pragmatism and grit, even a renewed vigour - I do wonder if it's the sign of a relieved man with a safe job but orders from above to adapt and react.

Just keep the man, he embodies everything our club is. And manage expectations along the way.

Just as we have no hard information about Pellers we have no hard information on Carlo, Klopp or Pep so no one is in or out of the race.

I am also not convinced that the best man for the job is a coach who needs telling what to do.
