i hope its not true. getting rid of the manager every time we dont win the league is unhealthy.

If you think this is only about silverware you are blind! We are regressing at an alarming rate. He won't be the only one going but the playing staff has to wait until summer.

Sums it up perfectly. Can't understand how some people cant see it. Trophies are nice but it's not just about that. It's about progressing and we are going backwards at an alarming rate. Within 2 years the best defence in the league has turned into a laughing stock.

Laughung stock? pmsl

We are letting in the same as last year - on average about 1 a game. Meanwhile if we get another 40 goals from the next 7 games we'll beat last years goal tally :)

Journalist at MEN saying MP not sacked and it's business as usual.

viera is the one all the lads respect massively...even if short term, viera will have this group of players playing for him. 2nd guarentted

If he has lost the dressing room how can he motivate the players for the rest of the season?

Maybe Vieira or Kidd will get them going and fired up to finish the season strongly, our season is effectively over anyway.

That issue between him and Kompany with him not wanting to be subbed didn't look great at all the other day.

There are credible reasons to keep him in place until the end of the season - mostly to at least give give the impression of a considered approach rather than panic.
Of course many could argue that once a decision in made, the sooner it's done and dusted the better, and there are equally good reasons why that makes sense too, but I think City's PR machine at least needs to make us look sensible, and professional about things, plus, if he has to go, at least we can allow him SOME dignity surely?

Personally I don't think he's gone yet. There may well have been a concrete decision already made, but I doubt such a decision would have been leaked out of Abu Dhabi. The most likely cause of speculation will be City sounding out other managers - which will inevitably result in a leak, and speculation that Pellers is more or less 'gone'.

I thought that was just a bit of misunderstanding that Kompany might have needed to come off (injury) but then said he was ok?

I don't think it matters what we do. Certain sections of the media will always look for the negatives where we are concerned.

A firm and absolute denial from City.

Good. The majority can get back to hating him again.

As you were boys and girls.....

I want a change but it would have been ridiculous to sack him today even by City's standards. At the very least wait until after the derby, if we lose then maybe it'll be time to hit the panic button.

That's what I think will happen.

Wouldn't that be expected though?

I think he is gone next Monday if we get beat in the derby.

MEN and other media lads saying City are laughing it off

You would like to assume City would not need to lie if a sacking had taken place.

Chinese whispers no doubt helped by a guessing betting market?
