We were well below par tonight .

Some very strange substitutions tonight .

I do wonder why we let him have another season .
I reckon Brian Kidd could have done this season better .

Some of the trouble is he has no balls either. I've said it before, there is zero accountability. I'd have dragged yaya off and told him he can fuck off if he thinks he's starting again till he loses ten pounds and decides to give a shit. But no, yaya will start again on Saturday and next Wednesday.

Silva and de Bruyne should also feel the ignominy of being dropped. There's isn't the same apathy yaya has but both are performing well under their capabilities and should know if they don't perform they get a sit on the bench while someone else has a go.

Norwich game I'd drop all 3 to the bench and make it clear it isn't a rest, it's beciase they're not performing.

But Manuel will tell them they played well and they'll be back in the line up Saturday.

Let’s put one myth to bed.

City aren’t inconsistent. On the contrary, we’ve become very consistent, almost to the point of being ridiculously predictable.

We start every game at walking pace, trying to pass through the eye of a needle. There must be some science in this approach, because at some point midway through the second half, we start to accelerate.

Too late, if we’re already out of the game against Liverpool, and Stoke, but you could argue that it almost worked against Arsenal.and definitely succeeded against Monchengladbach.

We field too many lightweight midfielders, so we’re frequently caught on the break. We don’t win 50-50 tackles, and we love to pass the ball out of defence at 1mph, often to tightly marked midfielders. Also, we moan about Kolarov, but when he doesn’t play, our crossing is non existent.

Somehow, we’re still in all the competitions, so perhaps it’s all part of a bigger plan

If I was a betting man I'd say he got the season because we knew 100% Pep was in the bag for next.

The options were an ineffectual Chilean for another season, or a total unknown quantity... at least under Pelle you know you'll push in to the top four and maybe nick a trophy.

If Pep told the sheikh to stuff it last season, MP would be gone.

I Like Manuel. He is a very dignified and charming man. But I feel I have to say something......fuck you Manuel! There, I feel bad but better.

I really want his last season to be a success not just for me but for him too. I'd love him to shut everyone up and go out on a splendid high. But he's really doing a terrible job of managing the best squad in the league.

Also, this bullshit about being in all competitions. Rodgers was in all 4 competitions his team entered but he still got the boot and rightly so. End of January the earliest to go on about this when hopefully we're in the final of one and progressed in the other.

Hahaha. That's EXACTLY how i fee!.

i really like him & was glad we kept him on, but recently he's done my fucking head in & now i wish he'd fucked off last May. I don't want to insult him, but I can't stop myself. But i still hope he can do it & will sing him goodbye when he goes either way.

For me It is difficult to remember the last time I really enjoyed a game. Each game you hope the performance will improve but it just never does. There are a few exciting moments such as the last 10 minutes against Borussia M. but it is just very disappointing on a regular basis. And then Pellegrini gives his after match interview and praises the players for a good performance. No Manuel, they didn't play well and the fact that you think we are actually playing well is quite scary. You might be a great guy but the sooner you go the better. Yes, we are still in all the competitions...blah blah blah, but let's have some excitement please.....come on City!!!!!!!.
That's exactly how I was feeling at Goodison tonight, the same seemingly half-hearted approach to getting the ball back after sloppily giving it away, piss poor defending, no tackling in the midfield and little spark up front. WTF must Pep be thinking watching these performances, a manager who wants his teams to go flat out to regain possession asap? We had a man advantage in stoppage time and we couldn't get the fucking ball off them!

Pellegrini seems to lack either the ability or the drive to get players out of that complacent comfort zone that so many are inhabiting just now.

Feels like we have too many "star" players that he wants to shoehorn into one team even if it's leaving us unbalanced in defence & unbalanced in attack. Sooner or later we'll have to accept that playing Yaya, Silva, KdB, Aguero all in one team just isn't doing it. Especially when you play 3 of them out of position (Yaya isn't a CAM, Silva isn't a winger, KdB isn't a winger) like today.

Like I mentioned on another page, our win rate with Navas starting is 82%, our win rate without him starting is 42%. He's not a better player than any mentioned, but he IS a winger & playing the correct players in the correct position has fared us so much better than these horrible attempts of fitting everyone into the team regardless if it means they're all in unfavourable positions.

Back to basics, drop one of Silva/KdB, play the other in the centre & stick Navas/Sterling out wide. Worked pretty well for the first 5 or so games.

It's worth noting mate that Silva played in each of those first 5 games and was the best player on the pitch in each of them.

Interesting stats on Navas win percentage, I knew he made a difference to the balance of the side, but I didn't realise that much. Be interesting to see the same stats for De Bruyne.

Consistently shite. It has been years since we put in so many dreadful performances. Abominations!!! I wish he would fuck off.
