Once he leaves us he'll get a job at a club akin to say Swansea...that's his level.
We were well below par tonight .
Some very strange substitutions tonight .
I do wonder why we let him have another season .
I reckon Brian Kidd could have done this season better .
I Like Manuel. He is a very dignified and charming man. But I feel I have to say something......fuck you Manuel! There, I feel bad but better.
I really want his last season to be a success not just for me but for him too. I'd love him to shut everyone up and go out on a splendid high. But he's really doing a terrible job of managing the best squad in the league.
That's exactly how I was feeling at Goodison tonight, the same seemingly half-hearted approach to getting the ball back after sloppily giving it away, piss poor defending, no tackling in the midfield and little spark up front. WTF must Pep be thinking watching these performances, a manager who wants his teams to go flat out to regain possession asap? We had a man advantage in stoppage time and we couldn't get the fucking ball off them! For me It is difficult to remember the last time I really enjoyed a game. Each game you hope the performance will improve but it just never does. There are a few exciting moments such as the last 10 minutes against Borussia M. but it is just very disappointing on a regular basis. And then Pellegrini gives his after match interview and praises the players for a good performance. No Manuel, they didn't play well and the fact that you think we are actually playing well is quite scary. You might be a great guy but the sooner you go the better. Yes, we are still in all the competitions...blah blah blah, but let's have some excitement please.....come on City!!!!!!!.
Feels like we have too many "star" players that he wants to shoehorn into one team even if it's leaving us unbalanced in defence & unbalanced in attack. Sooner or later we'll have to accept that playing Yaya, Silva, KdB, Aguero all in one team just isn't doing it. Especially when you play 3 of them out of position (Yaya isn't a CAM, Silva isn't a winger, KdB isn't a winger) like today.
Like I mentioned on another page, our win rate with Navas starting is 82%, our win rate without him starting is 42%. He's not a better player than any mentioned, but he IS a winger & playing the correct players in the correct position has fared us so much better than these horrible attempts of fitting everyone into the team regardless if it means they're all in unfavourable positions.
Back to basics, drop one of Silva/KdB, play the other in the centre & stick Navas/Sterling out wide. Worked pretty well for the first 5 or so games.
