We have had that conundrum since they signed imo. We win stuff because we are brilliant at football, but Yaya, Silva, Nasri etc etc are not the group you would pick to play together in a team formation, if you had a blank sheet of paper. But the same players in a weird & wonderful Pep system may be an entirely different matter (if they are still here).

I wonder what he would make of the front two non pressing tonight. Awful.

So much for the relatively easy transition from Pell to Pep, they play nothing fucking like a Pep team.

In fact nothing fucking like at all , so much for this all for one and one for all style throughout the club. Is Pellegrini on one big fucking holiday or what?

Clearly you haven't watched Norwich of late. That said, when should we bench Silva or Aguero? Seeing as they've been quite shit of late too?
No they are the future of this club and we should be building the team to the current strengths. Silva and Aguero are that. We are trying to maintain a role in the team for a player who can not handle high intensity football and they are suffering - not the other way around. Tonight was not the first time we have seen this. It wasn't a one off. It's become apparent for a while.

If Guardiola wasn't on his way, then I am sure Pellegrini would be on his way. Club has been marking time for a while. I thought at the start of the season that we were back, but no this is the real City and its not the players fault, its Pellegrini not making the most of the fantastic resources he has at his disposal

Did MP even realise Everton had gone down to 10 men , when he replaced KDB with Fernando ? Only a few minutes to play , but a very strange substitution , hes got form for not seeing the bleeding obvious , Bayern Munich away needing one more goal to qualify to top the group ?
maybe he was trying to protect the 2-1 scoreline. We were playing really badly so perhaps he thought that was the best thing to do at the time.

For me It is difficult to remember the last time I really enjoyed a game. Each game you hope the performance will improve but it just never does. There are a few exciting moments such as the last 10 minutes against Borussia M. but it is just very disappointing on a regular basis. And then Pellegrini gives his after match interview and praises the players for a good performance. No Manuel, they didn't play well and the fact that you think we are actually playing well is quite scary. You might be a great guy but the sooner you go the better. Yes, we are still in all the competitions...blah blah blah, but let's have some excitement please.....come on City!!!!!!!.

Sack him now. That was ineptitude on an inept day. I'm absolutely sure Kidd could do a better job. Sven too at a push.
If that joker is still here for next season I won't be.

What happened with Aguero ?

Segio looked over at the bench and shrugged his shoulders. It was a clear gesture of "what the f... is going on" On a more positive note I thought his movement off the ball was excellent tonight..though he got no service and there were signs he has recovered properly from his injury.

Nail on head mate, he has no connection with the fans whatsoever, boring and insipid- just like his football for the past eighteen months.

The half time pint and hotdog is the highlight this season.

It's actually bizarre. I assumed we would be like a mini Barca by now, pressing etc.

Also, when Mancini went, I expected loads of kids to be promoted to the first team squad, just cameo jobs here & there, but I expected it to be doable because i thought the first team would be similar to the academy teams & they would already know their jobs. The only times there have been similarities between the two, is when we went on that winning run last season when all the strikers were injured & Milner etc played up front, & also away at Seville.

Ironically, those are two of Pellegrini's best managerial moments imo.

No idea what he's thinking now or what will happen next. Mayebe they will sign someone to see if that gives him a boost.
